This team has been so disappointing. Have we ever lost to MIZZOU and UK in the same year before?

LSU has too many routines that have not progressed much since week 1 and we have failed to try to upgrade routines in spots, instead we have settled for the status quo and roll out the same thing each week hoping for the best.

Win or loss, in the grand scheme of things we have a lot of things that have to be addressed.

I mean Kentucky was the better team tonight

No they werent. And it was quite obvious. They had a better floor routine. That was about it.

LSU skill is much higher as well.

Yep and Utah is coming next week. Pleeese, Jay, get the lineups with our best performers.

I thought Bridgette's beam was really nice tonight and the score was disappointing.

Everyone has been talking about the “home scoring”. Why are we not getting that?

Because our gymnastics (save for a few standout routines) simply does't have the basic quality to allow the judges to reward us.

Have y’all ever seen that happen before? The only time I can remember do overs because of equipment was the 2000 Olympics. What the heck? I’m still in shock!

Exactly. Perfect example was LSU's beam routine. Sami fell off but it didnt count. Every other gymnast was near flawless but you didnt see 9.9s like Florida got a few meets ago.

The worst part is she already fell on her Series.. not due to the “equipment malfunction” but yet still got a do over..

I know! That is so infuriating! She had already fallen before the whole equipment thing happened. Ugh!!!

They have pointed toes, straight legs, good extension in their leaps. A lot of our routines don't.

Not sure if youre serious right now. They have been ranked below us all year. Now all of sudden they got great pointy toes?

While the top 6 teams in the country are scoring in the mid 198's, we are struggling to get past 197.5. Jay is going to have a rude awakening when we get to regionals if he keeps picking his favorites and disregarding the talent.

That is one thing I keep comparing this team to the days of Hambrick and Finnegan. Very clear difference comparing the routines from then and now.

Sami on beam essentially cost us this meet.

We peaked a month ago.

Score was dropped. Every other beam routine was near flawless.(minus Bridget Dean's one balance check)

The rankings don't tell an accurate story when the judging is such a joke.

Plenty of lower-ranked teams (Cal, Kentucky, Alabama and even Missouri) have cleaner gymnastics than us.

Agree 100%. This team is talented but there has been little to no development week on week. This has been a concern for the last couple years where the only development going on was really on vault. Even that has not come along at all. Athletes with potential are joining but their form and difficulty either hasn't improved or in some cases has even gone backwards and there have not been the necessary routine composition or lineup changes.

My concern now is not for this season - it doesn't take a genius to figure out that we are quite a long way behind the leaders in terms of routine quality. It's that because we have over-used the super seniors, there's quite a few people who have missed out on lineup opportunities/experience as a result. Our intended vault specialists have essentially not done vault in competition for years (Rau, Ryan). It's hard to expect them to suddenly do it as juniors or seniors.
