Emma Kavanagh: #1 Nationally Ranked Top Catcher Prospect & Overall Top 5 Player for 2024 Grad Class is a good player.

2024 Extra Elite 100 #7—Emma Kavanagh, C, Illinois Chill – Quinn
Emma has been ranked in the 2024 Extra Elite 100’s Top 10 every year since the class began and continues to impress with her tools and accomplishments. This summer, she led the 18’s (though 16u eligible) for organization head Gerry Quinn in batting average, home runs and RBI, and was the most difficult player to strikeout. Emma was also key in helping the Chill to a Top 10 finish at PGF Nationals this summer and also was a standout for her Barrington (Ill.) High team. She has been described as a “great physical presence with all the tools including a 2.96 in the 20-yard-dash, 79-mph exit speed and a 69-mph arm which added up to a superb 101.00 Allister Index score.

I would think the coaches would push the fact LSU has a vetinary school and I would think Beth would allow her to run track.

Vet school yes absolutely, but I don't see how running during the outdoor season could be possible. Even indoor season runs into March, so that might be tight. Has any baseball or softball player ever ran track in the same year at LSU?

I can't think of any off the top of my head right this second

It was announced today that Patty Gasso has received a pay raise to 1.625 million a year at OU. The article also said that the next highest paid coach is Mike White at Texas who is making 625k a year. More power to her, you win 5 NC in a 10 year period you better get paid. It also makes what LSU is paying Beth seem not so bad in the grand scheme.

How do these other two potential recruits rank up for the class of 24’? I saw that all four of them play for the same travel team. Also I just saw that Jayden was moved to the #2 overall recruit for her class, who took over the #1 spot?

Jayden is still #1 with 2 sources. Only dropped to #2 on ExtraInningSB. Destiny Harris is already committed. All the girls are all top 10 recruits.

Tigerbait357, would it be possible for you to start a new thread for this upcoming class? The discussion at beginning of the thread is from 2020...for new readers coming into the thread, it can be confusing reading dated info...thoughts?
Same issue with gymnastics thread...
