Oh wow, they have been around for a while. I guess it is easy to be overshadowed in that league. I hope she does well.

Coaching in College Station for so many years is probably the only reason why I knew they've been playing so long because I knew Jo Evans was from there. I had to look up the specific years and they had played in the old AIAW before NCAA took over women's sports.

Any word on the discussions with Haley Lee? That would be a huge bat to add to an already potent lineup.

Would go a long way to replace Sunseri's production but I feel like it would be a long shot for her to join a team as the fourth catcher. By all means I would love her bat as the DH and sacrifice a little defense at first but it's a tough sell for me.

She also played first base for A&M, I think we could plug her in full time at first base and leave Georgia as the DP for the pitcher. It would be the best offensive lineup in the SEC.

If I was a A&M fan, I’d be troubled that none of Fords star players followed their former coach and now their star (Lee) player hit the portal after she was hired

I think right now, Aggies are just happy that Jo Evans is gone... many are happy with the hire bexause ASU knocked us out of thr tournament...they are that hell bent on beating us especially after a few fans jumped up and down on the dugouts during our series & inhabited their club seats during the SEC Tournament at Davis Diamond a few years ago...They are delusional about that and remind me of it everytime we play each other.....

They got rid of her because they have been bottom of the league for a bit with no signs that things will get better, top players continue to transfer out. Their last 3 conference finishes have been 12th, 10th and 13th. Evans did some good things as a coach but things got extremely stale and bottomed out at the end of her coaching career at A&M.
I dislike A&M but a program with those facilities and in Texas, a hot bed for talent, should be way better than they have been.

357 basically answered the question I would have... she had grown stale with the alumni and she never would hire coaches that could do more than just stand, clap, & collect body armor at 1B coaching box. She was too loyal to an assistant for many years who us high school & travel ball coaches thought was a joke. She finally got some good hitting coaches Wieligman, Glasco, Snider. But she never got a pitching coach who could coach pitching and that was a major bonus of contention with the alumni.

Based on the OKIE State catcher entering the portal today and likely going to Mizzo the speculation is that she has been informed that Lee is coming to OSU. Then again her dad just got on staff at Mizzo. So the speculation of OSU or OU continues but she was in fact in OKC Saturday per her IG.

I heard she is visiting Arkansas and Ok St, and another big 12 school. She may visit Washington but those are just rumors

When watching LSU's gig on the SEC channel they had the Bama/LSU softball game on. The camera was lined up with her and our super duper fan in the background. If she enjoyed that prospect of having him make a fool out of the team then she would have maybe come here. Who knows if this is a baracade to many othjers we could have added?
