Sad to say but you are correct

All American pitcher from Michigan in the portal unfortunately everyone will be after her.

Two more players from Alabama are in the transfer portal for a total of four. Lexi Kilfoyl with a record of 9-3 and a 2.36 ERA and Dallis Goodnight a starting outfielder with a .301 average are also in the transfer portal from Alabama. Lexi was an Alabama pitcher with the second most wins after Fouts.

Do you think she stays up north

I honestly have no clue, she is from Illinois though. Ironically, the chatter is she is talking with Alabama and Ok St right now (only schools I've heard) but I'm sure she will be window shopping for a bit before going on visits.
Doubtful a better pitcher comes around from the portal, she is the real deal. Kilfoyl is very good but she has struggled to stay healthy for a very long time, even back to her HS days. Now I think a lot of programs wouldn't turn away a talent like that but it comes with its risks as well given her injury issues.

LSU is showing interest in Kilfoyl, havent heard anything on Goodnight but she is a excellent player who could be a starter for a lot of top programs.

I would take Kilfoyl in a heartbeat, but Goodnight is not as good as any of our outfield options. Newland and Briggs had much better seasons than her, and Redoutey had a higher OBP with much better run production numbers (rbis and homeruns) even though her batting average was lower.
Goodnight is not an upgrade. Beth needs to be looking for a middle of the order first baseman and a 2nd baseman that can hit and play slick defense.

Two more players from LSU have entered the transfer portal. Presleigh Pilon and KK Madrey.

2B and catchers are the biggest weak spots on the team outside of a 2nd pitcher next to Kilponen

357! How many more leave after last 2?
Posted on 5/25/22 at 7:15 pm to joraangm
What is the situation with Pilon? Didn’t she come into LSU as a top 10 recruit? I know that she redshirted her freshman year due to injury, but it’s crazy to me that as good of a recruit she was coming in, wasn’t able to crack the lineup this year.

That’s two of the ladies I heard would leave. Lots of ladies that didn’t get much PT leaving.

Medical RS. California girl. Before year looked like a great get. Kind of wondering what happened to lady.

I think these are the ones we need to stay for next season, the rest can utilize the transfer portal or opt out of their fifth year. I just don’t think the rest have a shot of really ever cracking the lineup and making a big impact at LSU like they could at another school.
Pitchers - Kilponen, Chaffin
1B - Clark, Gutierrez
2B - Peterson
SS - Pleasants
3B - Coffey
C - Cummins
OF - Briggs, Newland, Redoutey, Stewart, Smith
We have some solid pitching recruits coming in for next season, and I think if we could add 1 more seasoned pitcher from the portal (if Beth finally decides to use it this off-season)to compliment Kilponen and hopefully a much more improved and experienced Chaffin the pitching can be much improved.
I’m hoping Bergeron lives up to the hype as a former #1 recruit and can be a day 1 starter. Cummins is great for depth and has great chemistry with Kilponen. She was off to an amazing 2020 season before COVID, so she had potential if her bat is more consistent.
With the loss of Sunseri’s bat, we are going to need to add some power to the lineup. So hopefully with the portal, we can pick up a big offensive threat that could also help fill in on the infield with some of the defensive struggles we faced this year as well.
Is there anyone y’all think I missed or am overlooking? Would love to hear y'all's opinions

Morgan Smith is transferring along with Brandon. It’ll be Redoutey in RF next year

That’s unfortunate with Smith. I knew she entered the portal but was hoping she was testing the waters to see what other schools would reach out, and eventually stay. But if she isn’t happy, and wants to specifically pitch, I don’t blame her since she only got playing time really towards the end of the season. Her bat started picking up at the end of the season and was a pretty big recruit out of HS so I think she will do well wherever she goes

Are the two players from Oregon that just entered the portal any good? Don’t know enough about them
Posted on 5/27/22 at 11:37 am to LSUmeauxjeaux
Kliethermes pitched the majority of Oregons innings this year, but put up numbers that were inferior to Chaffin and Sunseri, in the PAC-12.
Freed wasnt even on the roster at the end of the year, most likely a redshirt so dont know much about her.

I didn't realize that Savoy had a better year at Notre Dame than Bergeron did. Apparently her senior year stats were .566 with 24 HRs, 13 doubles and 81 RBIs.

Poncho and Savoy were the best players on ND this year. Poncho is hearing from a lot of major programs right now.
