Don't forget, Jay is a master recruiter... some of his moves you might be questioning right now might just be a very calculated attempt to have seniors return next year.

Selena hurts, but IMO, doesn't hurt as bad as Trinity still hurts. We'll be fine without her. There's plenty of talent coming in.

Here's what's important, EVERY athlete on the team this year has a 5th year of eligibility. How Jay manages this over the next few years will be much more important that getting a verbal from Selena. Can you imagine the one two punch of Kiya and Haleigh for the next 3 years? Watch out OU and FL, you've been warned!!

I think a lot of the 5th year decisions come down to how their bodies are hanging.

I really would love Kamryn’s vault in the lineup, but I understand it’s probably too risky to throw her in it during the post season.

Also, I’m not sure I’m buying any of the the recruiting stories I heard when it comes to Selena. Perhaps she really just wanted to be a Bruin, and was waiting for that one offer. It is much closer to home for her. It’s just hard for me to picture her on that team though. She doesn’t seem to have that obnoxious “Look at me. I’m your queen” type personality that their gymnasts have.

Damn I think Cal just stuck every single bar landing. ~half were double tuck dismounts and they still got to 49.775! (Granted bars scoring is a bit loose at this meet)

Jay better be taking notes now. He has 2 weeks to fix the bars dismounts. Look at what he was able to do for Haleigh on floor with her middle pass with 2 weeks. The same thing can be done on bars especially without a meet next weekend

Email it to Jay

he probably has any email including the word double tuck automatically sent to the junk mail

I wish I could go to Huntsville. Depending on where we end up competing this year, I may make the trip for Regionals weekend

Cal scored a 198.050 vs UCLA yesterday. It looks like those pirouette doubles for a bar dismount are respected by the judges.

Michigan goes 198 today

We better bring it this post season because there are 6-7 teams really pushing the envelope, and some who haven't even put it all together and still score in the 197's.

As far as SEC's. LSU could not ask for a better rotation IMO. We don't end or start on beam. We finish on our best two events (Floor and Vault). I like that because scoring in general tends to be tighter during the first rotation. Bars, LSU has to go over a 49.300 IMO, at least that needs to be the goal. I would like us near a 49.400 but that seems a bit of a tough task with the dismounts.

To add onto the ridiculous scoring in NCAA, one judge gave this vault a 10

w/ latest scores in, NCAA WGYM regionals seedings would be:

1 - UF, Bama, Ark, Auburn @ Tuscaloosa
2 - OU, Minn, ASU, UGA @ Athens
3 - LSU, Cal, Denver, UCLA @ Morgantown
4 - Michigan, Utah, BYU, Kentucky @ Salt Lake

Oh lord

We would have by far the most difficult regional. Cal just went 198 and Denver went high 197 counting a fall. UCLA hasn't even put together a complete meet either and is around 197 right now.

The pressure is on for sure. The teams outside of the SEC all have more meets this year so scores can definitely improve. Some of the meets left have the opportunity for home cooking as well.

The latest Standings are released. Oklahoma back on top.....

Also, in the Facebook group, Alabama fans are saying they want to be in our regional as they feel sure they can upset us again. ?? let’s not mention their score against us was their highest by a mile - they are a good team, but that’s putting an awful lot of significance around that meet!

Yea not sure what the tie breaker is there, but NQS is tied UF season avg and high score are both higher so not sure why they put OU at 1

Addison Fatta (not sure if we’re recruiting her, she’s an elite from Trinity’s former gym) posted in a q&a that she has two colleges in mind and will probably commit this summer (She graduates high school in 2023). Thought it was interesting she posted a photo with Konnor when answering that question. However in a later Story she seemed to indicate FL :/

She is a Program changing type of recruit

Also, I’m just curious. How much time (being the head coach) has Jay missed from bars? Or being able to focus on bars? It seems like there’s a disconnect when it comes to bars. Like there’s been 8 meets with no sign of progress. Just curious as to how much time does he actually spend on bars in comparison to years past.
