Few thoughts after today’s meet. Consistency really seems to be our issue this season.

Our floor workers have not been consistent enough . We have been getting overscored for the first half of the line up all the season with bad landings etc. Second half is usually good but the only gymnast I am not worried about each week on floor is haleigh and kiya when she does floor. Alyona and kiya badly needed back in that line up but still concerned about alyona’s floor consistency. Christina did much better today but as others have said I still hold my breath for her and Bridget and Elena. Sierra is solid but her landings need work but at least she’s consistent. Sarah also consistent but again needs to find her landings at times.

Talking of alyona - what progress she has made - her vault today should have been a 10 and her beam was incredible. Wish we would give her a better bars dismount but she has turned into a formidable all arounder and we are seeing her true confidence and potential being realised as season has progressed

Vault today was a highlight event. I thought incredible. No idea why we used Sami on beam and not Olivia or Elena when it was clear Sami’s ankle was tweaked. Not sure why Sami even did vault - was hoping that kamryn could have been given another shot or chase.

Beam was ok but Reagan should not be our anchor. I feel kiya or haleigh even would handle that pressure better. Reagan has such High scoring potential but has really been struggling with consistency.

Bars today was tightly scored but we really need to be hitting our handstands and sticking our landings and fixing some of those dismounts to make them easier.

I still think this team has so much potential but consistency is really our issue this season. Hope we get to see dunne on more events and Elena on bars.

Agreed and a lot of our issues lie with Jay.

Jay states in that article that he plans for Kiya, Haleigh, and Alyona to be in the AA for the home meet against Missouri. If that plan stands, that means one of the seniors are coming out of the beam lineup.

Good to hear. I truly believe this team at its best has those three all doing all around. The question is, do you take Durante or Dean out? Durante technically has more scoring potential, but you know you're gonna get a hit from Dean. I also think they should toy around with the lineup ordering because I do not think Reagan should be anchoring. You want someone in the 6th spot who can seal the deal, not someone you worry about hitting. Especially since Reagan seems to be hurting a bit more this year, I don't know that she should be the anchor.

I would take Durante out, Dean has been more steady, while she does have small form things, Durante does as well with her leaps especially (soft knees and not fully extended). For the most part Dean has been steady and there really isn't a significant difference between Durante and Dean, so its smarter to go with the more consistent performer.

We have the opportunity for the last time to do exhibition routines next week. Last chance to try to experiment....

Watching Kylie Coen on floor is such a treat. Her dance and performance is superb.

She's gonna be a really good NCAA gymnast. She has such a strong foundation on every event.

If anyone's watching Big Fives, Michigan had another floor implosion in the 47s and Brenner went down with an injury. Will not help their NQS efforts.

Also kinda off topic but Adeline Kenlin for Iowa is a DELIGHT. Her beam has NCAA champion potential. Excited to see her future. Clair Kaji is amazing too.

I think there might be, there's been lots of mistakes on floor with not getting enough punch. They need to fix it before someone else gets hurt.

Is it bad that I assume every national team member is going to Florida these days?

Wild what they are pulling off over there.

Based on her social media presence on Instagram it seems she’s leaning towards LSU

Konnor I think LSU feels great about, but because of recruiting rules we cannot contact her again until later this summer.

She has been to LSU before

I know Lilly isn't a legit contender for the olympics but I just wanted to see her continue to grow and develop until she gets to LSU.

Excited about her future.
