I hold my breath every time on her last pass. My anxiety level goes up for her safety as we need her healthy on beam during post season.

I'm off tomorrow so I look forward to enjoying the NL cup in the afternoon before the meet later on

That floor lineup scares me!

I agree! I thought Reagan was going in on floor for this meet. The first two routines are so important to set the rotation. Oh Lawd....praying for providence.

Do you know anything about Sami’s floor routine? It would be cool to see her compete all around at least once before she graduates.
Looking forward to all the gymnastics tomorrow! Do we have any recruits competing the the NL cup tomorrow? I really enjoyed watching Hailey and Olivia last year.

Bryce Wilson (LSU commit) but there are some juniors to keep an eye on. Like I said, Kylie Coen specifically is one level 10 kid from 2023 who is getting a lot of attention right now given her potential.

I don't think Sami even trains floor, does she?
Anyway, we have so much depth on floor that I would not want to use Sami there. OK with her on vault - she's actually pretty clean there.

She does, although what it would look like in a competition setting remains a big unknown.
Ryan also trains floor as well.
Olivia Dunne must be struggling with stamina big time if she can't get into the lineup on floor. Her JO routines were very strong, I figured she would get in at some point but I guess not this year.

They didn’t show Bryce’s floor, but she got a 9.30.

Blakely was definitely one of the favorites but that was a disaster on bars
Somehow she got a 9.200
WCC has some great looking gymnasts

Did you see Leah Smith’s vault? That height blew me away. Washington is getting a good one.

Leah Smith's bars were phenomenal too. She's gonna be huge in NCAA.

I like her a lot
WCC looks to be the next factory of gymnasts, some great level 10s with a great crop of elites.
Amrai Celsetines bar dismount is fun, you don't see that very much.
Appears to be a rough day for Bryce. Vault is her best event, did not score lower than a 9.800 in her first 3 meets and only scored a 9.100

Maybe it’s me but talent is a bit down this year at NL cup. No Jacey Vore or Selena Harris either
I’m sure COVID and a lot of gym situations contributed to that

Bryce had a rough bars as well. 8.975. Wondering if the pressure has gotten to her.
Also, Vore tore either her Achilles or ACL. Can’t remember exactly when but she’s been out a while.

Side note, the judging makes zero sense in this competition. Not following the scores in some cases. Saw some routines pretty errorless getting low 9.9's while other routines with significant checks and form breaks scoring in the mid 9.5's
I give up trying to understand judging sometimes

Bryce Wilson Floor
Rough meet for her, her floor though definitely isn't bad. I get that Sarah Edwards vibe with her power and being raw, although I think she is much further along than Edwards was at this stage. She clearly is as an all arounder. Her calling card is on vault and floor but her beam actually is very solid too when she hits.

Shame about the mistakes but her floor has SO much potential. Perfect mix of power and flexibility. Just needs some time to clean some things up, which she obviously has. Wow.

Thanks for the video of Bryce. Guessing from her first pass, she’s probably struggling to find that “perfect” mix on the podium. I always got in my head tumbling on podium. I was either sky high and over rotated, or like her, i tried to finesse my punches and ended up landing short or even one time i remember with random hands down on something i could do in my sleep. Podium is tricky for a power athlete. But looking back now, i sure do miss that feeling of easy and sky high tumbling while on them. I bet she figures it out by the end of the day
