Edwards might not be available this meet. Not sure.

That said Ballard and Ryan have earned some opportunities IMO

Jay said Dunne was rocking floor this fall, wonder if she gets a shot down the road.

I would hate for Sarah to be hurt again - as one of our more experienced vaulters (though she rarely sticks) I think she is important for the lineup - so hopefully whatever it is a quick fix!

I’m hoping it’s a rest issue. Fingers crossed. Auburn isn’t that good. Should be able to beat them pretty handily.

Maybe it's possible that Edwards was the positive case, and she can't travel yet. I'm just speculating, so please don't run with that.

I hope Sierra does amazing on floor! If so, that would be a final piece to the floor lineup. I really think the best floor lineup would be Alyona, Sierra, Edwards, Kiya, Haleigh, and fingers crossed Dunne. She may still have a sore ankle, but I hope it's not because of issues with the DLO. She is way too good with dance and grace to not have her in the floor lineup. Opening with a double tuck would be just fine.

I hope we will see some other changes next week, if we are going to win that meet against Florida. There are some current lineup choices that I don't think is going to get the dub unless the judges are going to ignore some things like they did the last home meet.

ETA: Where did y'all see Kamryn on vault? I'm not seeing it. Sami Durante is in the lineup.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, there is different set of lineups. I'm assuming that there are certain routines that are more consistent in practice but there is definitely a limit to what certain current routines can do.

This was Dunne's floor at JO. Its super clean and she hits her splits. They should go the Arkansas route with her and just do simple and clean, would score very well. She doesn't have to do a double layout. They changed her 2nd tumbling pass though.

Thank you for showing me!

Yes, I'm sure there is a good reason for lineups to be the way they are. I just sometimes question the whole difficulty aspect of it, but then I know common sense says that Dean and Campbell also don't have an E pass and they are in the lineups. I love Campbell on floor by the way. I always have preferred that type of dance and beautiful leaps.

Speaking of what they see in practice verses competition.. Jay said in an interview that Christina does not have those issues on floor during practice from what we saw the last two meets. He said if they were seeing that in practice, they wouldn't have put her out there to potentially hurt herself. He said they were trying to figure out what it is, and even questioned if it could be just an adrenaline issue. He said when they ask her, she just says her legs feel dead.

Christina has always had stamina/endurance issues while at LSU but her body is barely hanging on, she has been battling it since she ended her elite career. She has always had ankle issues and can’t do the reps she would like to because of it. She’s clearing giving us her best with what she has.

Campbell is kinda in the same boat as well fighting her body most days. Back issues have really been bothering her over the years.

Christina does not have stamina nor endurance issues. She does the same amount of reps in the gym as anyone else. When she says her legs feel like they’re dead it’s like they are not recovering. She’s been trying different therapies If you ever spoke to her personally as I have she will tell you it’s not that. Her ankles are another issue. They are barely hanging on. As a matter of fact her floor was really good this week in practice.

I think at this point the coaches have to decide if it’s worth it to have Campbell and Desiderio on floor going forward. With their past injuries and chronic aches and pains, it may be better for them to just focus on beam. If Dunne is able to do floor soon, I think you take out Campbell. And depending on how Ballard and Erenas do in the upcoming meets, I think you pull Desiderio. A final floor lineup of Johnson, Bryant, Edwards, Alyona, Dunne and Erenas/Ballard is capable of scoring the same as Desiderio and Campbell.

I’m not saying this as a knock on Campbell and Desiderio. Just think they’re both essential to the beam lineup. We need them more on beam than floor. Makes no sense to risk their health doing floor.

Campbell’s back issues make sense considering she has scoliosis

I don’t wanna go down this road tearing down Christina. She has always had her difficulties on floor at lsu, for different reasons. Stuff especially she can’t control.

That said, if she is struggling badly to get back up to strength with recovery of her legs as well as ankle, then I think you seriously have to consider looking towards Dunne, Ballard, Arenas to get more reps moving forward. She in my opinion is much more critical for our success being a steady lead off on beam

I’m not saying we are at that point yet but something to consider if she continues to have issues recovering.

Or they could do a Priessman, let her train and use her during the post season when it counts to keep her body fresh as possible

I like this suggestion. Obviously the coaches see the girls regularly and know much more clearly their physical capabilities and limitations, but I do think they should consider swapping Desiderio out for awhile if she is quite limited by chronic injuries and other issues. We need her as leadoff for beam more and it is not helpful anyway to put her in for floor and have her struggle.

TBH I thought Campbell was still performing well on floor and I would keep her and Edwards in because they are clean, consistent, and have very few built in deductions. Difficulty is great but clean is more important..

Annie Beard and Kaytlyn Johnson suppose to compete later! Makes me happy especially to see Kaytlyn ready to go this year given all the injuries the last couple years.

Was sad to read about the passing of Dianne. Time really does go by quick. She was something to watch.

Happy to see Kamryn in the vault line up this week but for the Love of GOD PLEASE PUT ARENAS ON BARS AND TAKE DEAN AND DESIDERIO OUT OF THE FLOOR LINEUP

Arenas must be doing really bad in practice on bars, no other explanation if she is healthy. Of all the lineups she is in, I really thought she was locked in on bars before this season. I honestly expected Dunne and Alyona would be on beam before she would ever get in that lineup. Its been very odd so far.

While I like having the freshmen in on floor, throwing a bunch of them out all at one time seems risky. I guess we will see what happens. That lineup makes me nervous for some reason.

Glad the coaches are letting Desiderio recover this weekend. She would be healthier for Florida if inserted back in.

Looks like Shchennikova is going in on floor instead of Desiderio but still. Dean needs to come out. She has too many form issues

She looked amazing at Gym 101 on bars and they have her in on floor this week. Don’t know why she hasn’t competed bars yet this year though

I always thought someone like Campbell would be a nice lead off with kids after her to build up on. Its a nice routine that is mostly clean, not the highest level of difficulty. IMO it would set the rest of the lineup up better.

Ballard and Arenas if they want to break into lineups like floor, will have to hit and earn some more time tonight.

Hopefully everyone does well tonight.

Johnson and Beard at the WOGA Classic

Johnson competed in the AA. Had a terrific vault that scored 9.850 and finished 2nd on floor!
