Guys - things are getting a bit heated. I know we all want the best for the girls and the team. We hope the girls to be healthy, successful in and out of the gym, and hopefully also do well in season.
These recent accounts of racism in other gymnastics teams have been very sad. I believe and really feel for these girls who have been the subject of mistreatment. Is it fair to wonder whether the same story is true of other teams? Yes, I think that's inevitable. But perhaps we shouldn't jump to make assumptions. As fans we see very little of what goes on behind the scenes or the background. There haven't been any concrete criticms of the LSU programme. There was a vaguer account raised by a former LSU gymnast, and it's fair to wonder whether possibly she had negative experiences in LSU, but equally, we ought to give the team (and all other teams where there have not been people speaking out) the benefit of the doubt. It shouldn't be a witch hunt, nor should girls feel pressured into standing up and talking about their experiences (positive or not) because of pressure from fans/Twitter/etc. Of course, I hope that within the programme, there are avenues for complaints, and that the team continually tries to improve and implement best practices. That way the girls can have the training environment, college experience, and just generally the life that they deserve to have.
Moving the topic on to recruiting: any news or updates?

There's nothing to stop anyone/anytime of accusing a Program of racism, mistreatment, etc.
This new world we live in will have accusations flying frequently now.
Unfortunately, it'll harm the actual times it does happen.

We all have favorites—a favorite gymnast, favorite routine and even a favorite team. While, as journalists, we remain unbiased in our reporting, we still can’t help but gravitate toward certain things when we’re watching as fans
LOL!!! I went to collegegymnews.com today and saw that as their opening for one of their newest articles. I literally started laughing. That website is one of the worst offenders of having their "favorite teams." Hope y'all get a little chuckle from it too!

Are the freshmen coming to campus soon? Olivia dunne’s instagram makes it sound like she’s heading to LSU/saying goodbye to her home gym

Lets hope families aren't spooked and let them come on time!

I didn’t realize how big Olivia Dunne is on social media. Saw a video of hers on Tik Tok and she has a huge following. She just went live on there and has something like 6k people watching already.

Hasn’t been mentioned but let’s just go ahead and say she is a complete smoke show

Can you elaborate ?
That just means that she is a very good looking girl. She has the talent and good looks. If you know anything about TikTok then you know it is dominated by teens and young 20 somethings who are all very good looking.

If you knew what the girl looked like you would know what I’m talking about

Haleigh Bryant was also pictured on instagram with all her things packed and in LSU gear - so looks like she's coming. Very excited to see the new freshmen.

The Schedule was released today. 2 things that I noticed that is different this year. Only 11 meets this year compared to 12 in previous years and the only podium meet will be at SEC championships. Any thoughts?

I noticed that there will not be any podium meets as well. Another thing, there was an article earlier this year stating that we would compete with Utah.
Correction: LSU vs Utah in 2022 and 2023
