Sarah posted some Insta-stories and in one pic you can see that she’s still in a boot. So I guess I’m not surprised at the news. Disappointing!

Yeah the interview is on LSU Tiger Tv YouTube page.

She will probably be out at least until the end of Feb/beginning of March. Maybe she can be back for Arkansas on Feb 28th

Yikes that’s a long time. She was vaulting really well. Hope someone can step up and fill her shoes. Any ideas on who that would be? For vault and floor?

This is for the board in general. Do they have the girls in dance classes in the of season? Girls that can dance(Sarah Finnagan) look so much more natural and relaxed when they can. You can leterally see some girls thinking what there going to do next. Its so robotic. It really takes away from the performance.
If Kathy's tone has changed toward LSU, I would put money on this being the reason. She loves girls with good dance technique and lines. That's why she was so crazy for Sarah. We don't have any gymnasts like that on the team this year, unfortunately, and the absence is quite glaring.

Is it too late for McKenna to take her 5th year yet?
Kidding, but ugh, imagine having her vault and floor back...

The US is so far out in front in women's gymnastics they'll do anything to slow us down. It's been repeated over and over, and pretty obvious, we could field 2 teams for the Olympics and win all the medals. Its the same by only allowing 2 gymnasts to compete in the AA. If they would let us we could place the top 8-9 places in that. Although i heard there upping it to 3 this coming olympics.

You nailed it! I feel for Simone and the hard work she has done in accomplishing those skills.

Edwards has a sprain but seems to be progressing well the last few days. We will probably get conservative with bringing her back as she is critical for our season.
Ryan is not an option right now due to injury. Not sure how long she is out for.
Kai’s ankle is still an issue but one she is managing as well as she can. LSU wants her on floor badly but it doesn’t seem to be an option right now.
Desiderio seems to be doing better. She has practiced well but still has discomfort. LSU does not want to reaggravate her injury but we need her on beam and floor. She could be an option on beam tonight but I doubt we see her on floor coming off the injury. Likely see dean on floor.
Alyona has looked great in the gym but I am unsure if they roll her out. They may stick with dean again and then try her out when we hit the road against Oregon state. LSU hopes to have her in the beam lineup as a starter at some point by the end of the year. Her dismount remains a big issue for me. Even if she sticks the landing she will get deducted based off form every time. It’s a built in deduction

Ferrer deciding to not compete right before the season completely blew the depth chart up on vault, bars and floor. LSU was counting on her to produce on vault and floor this season. With injuries to Kai, Ryan, desiderio and alyona being limited we do not have many options at all.
Add in Caitlin Smith injury. We are down quite a few bodies.

She has a double Arabian with some big tumbling but I don’t think she is ready yet. Maybe they throw her out there but she has stuff to clean up. Dean has things to clean up as well, she has form issues and leaps have to be better so we will see. Ideally we want Kai and Desiderio in this lineup but not really an option right now. We are kinda forced to throw certain routines out there that we don’t really want to.
