With the SEC title hanging in the balance Sarah got a !0 on floor to clinch it. What a performance under pressure and McKenna put the icing on the cake.
Now they have to keep improving and get those scores into the 198.5 range. Hopefully the judges at the finals on't be as generous as they have been to UCLA and Oklahoma. Maybe this is the year D D gets the sentimental bump and its enough to take home the title.

Regarding Sydney Barros, there is a tweet on Kim Zmeskal’s page from 3/1. It’s the video where the girls are wishing Kiya and Frankie good luck at the Nasti Liukin Cup. Sydney has on a UCLA shirt. Not sure if it means anything but I wanted to point it out. Sydney has been liking a ton of LSU Gymnastics and some of the gymnasts post on Instagram. Hopefully LSU snags her.

I believe it's a broken thumb. But not from SEC's, I think she broke it before that and has been competing hurt!

I personally would take this with a grain of salt. Many of our current commits have been decked In other university gears for a while before committing to LSU.
Alexis Jeffery has been decked in LSU shirts for over 2 years but then committed to UCLA. Barros likes LSU a lot.... I would be very optimistic. We are on her short list.

That makes me feel a little better. Also, I know Sydney and Tori Tatum are really close. It would be good to see them at LSU together.

I thought she was too with her sister there as a student coach...would be nice to have a big name but I don’t think she’s that clean with her skills is she?

Her bars are fine. Her vault and beam both are sketchy at times but she should hit with college downgrades. She probably wouldn’t be used on floor.

Kai Rivers finished second at the State Championships (Michigan). I truly think that she’ll be the second AAer (Kennedi Edney) next year. Her bars & beam are so much better this year.

I honestly think Kai and Kiya will end up as better overall all around gymnasts at the NCAA level than edney. I say this because both actually POINT their toes on all events and hit their leaps. Which are the two things that continuously hammer Edney. She tends to be flat footed on beam and her toe form disappears on her tumbling at times!
Kiya is gonna end up being the all arounder next season. Kai and Kiya will both be on vault, bars and floor!
Kiya IMO is a much more natural beam worker. Kai is not bad at all, and has actually improved on that event a lot this year. They do need to remove the front tuck out of Kiya beam routine next year. That skill scares me too much. It’s bad enough the elites struggle to do it with any consistency
Kai will definitely be someone who can anchor bars for LSU and score 9.95 scores. Her bar work is exceptional!

I would love to see Alyona, but y'all forget she doesn't have a bars dismount. I guess she could always pirouette into a double tuck, but I don't see Jay being happy with that. Also, as I type that, I could also see Jay saying, "this will work for this year but I'm teaching you a new dismount."
I agree with the downgrades on Vault and Beam. I think with the right skills and downgrades she could be an easy 9.875 - 9.925 every week.

Does anyone know why Tori Tatum is competing at Level 10 again? Is she done with Elite? I know she doesn’t graduate until 2021. My first thought is that maybe she’s doing what Elena Arenas is doing but I’m not sure.

Oh no! Talk about bad timing. Poor Lexie can’t catch a break. And Sarah has the flu! Hope they all get better.
