Jay changing Haleigh's floor to two pass routine for regionals. Hmmm I guess he can adapt to the times
That is huge! Hopefully the front double full is out. Its just not necessary, especially in a 3 pass routine as a dismount.

Michigan moved to all two passes as well. All but one routine is two passes. The code needs to be changed.

Yes, the last pass (front double full) is out.

Yeah and this is the point I have been making. Eventually every gymnast at every school will be doing it. Then there is no more advantage anymore just makes the sport less desirable to watch.

Listening to gymcastic podcast right now. Why do they hate on LSU so much? Jessica said that out of all the 10 routines this year, LSU had the most “not really a 10” routines. Seriously!?!? I know that Haleigh took a hop on her vault dismount a few weeks ago, but Trinity also took a step on one of her balance beam dismounts and got a 10. And I saw so many other “10” routines across all teams that also had deductions. They also said LSU and Oregon State have been the most over-scored teams this year (Hello…what about Auburn, Florida, Utah, and so many more teams). Why do they single us out like this?
This made me so mad! I just want our girls to go out there and kick butt and make it to nationals! Ok, rant over….

Everyone hates on LSU. LSU was one of the first teams to threaten the established teams (Georgia, Alabama, Utah, UCLA and eventually Oklahoma). Lots and lots of fans do NOT want another team to win and become a powerhouse. NCAA gymnastics is not used to having more than a couple teams each year challenging for the title. I firmly believe they want to keep the door closed as tight as possible.

That's 100% reserved for UF

Yes, they LOVE UF! They are from California, so they seem like huge UCLA and Cal fans which may explain a lot of the LSU hate.

It makes me nervous that the team isn’t leaving until tomorrow (I think). I’m seeing a lot of other teams get to their regionals sooner than just the day before.

We leave today after practice. If we can't get on equipment there, it makes sense to stay here where we can practice. We are not flying commercial so travel interruption is not as much of an issue. Get 1 last practice in today and get on the plane

I hear they begin the meet on beam which is nerve racking for us as fans. I'm sure the coaches have prepared them for this and the mental focus will be there.

Also, the Oklahoma and ucla regional start on Wednesday and Denver and Pittsburgh start on Thursday so you may be seeing other teams leave early because of that

Starting on beam can be scary but if they can get through it then they can really breeze through the other events. They just have to not let nerves get to them. They’ve looked great on beam since hitting their stride.

I feel for them - as I know how it felt for us last year. And bars has been a highlight for them this year - but I am glad the Suni era is now over.

They had 8.875, 9.225, and 9.250...ouch

That’s tough. I don’t know what happened there. Did Suni compete or is she done?
Edit: I see that she did not. Is she injured or just decided to focus on elite again?

The reports keep saying Suni is dealing with a non gymnastics related medical issue. I think it had something to do with the car accident she was in recently. Unfortunately, the doctors didn’t clear her to compete.
