Recruits do not think like fans. They watched LSU yesterday and realized they will be on the field next year and that excites them more.

The 2025 class changes the trajectory of this program

No one truly know what they are thinking.

Not you saying they see immediate playing time or the other guy saying they see a dumpster fire.

Reminder for you, all the talent in the world is useless if it's not coached and developed properly.
Let these sink in
Nuss, essentially a 50% passer, is our best qb by a longshot
We have a walkon starting at RB over more talented kids
Our WR room is not devoid of talent yet can't get open, catch easy passes or block
Our "1st round OTs" dont look like it on Saturdays.
Paul Mubenga, with 15+ other OL on the roster is the best we can do at LG apparently
Our LBs, consistently run themselves out of position and can't tackle.
Our CBs can't turn and track the ball and at times leave receivers all by themselves
Our S constantly overrun plays, can't tackle and can't cover.
Our LS can't have a clean game ever.

All those are the coaching staffs responsibility to fix and they cant/don't. Teenagers, and more importantly, the adults in their lives, can see this as well. They may not get emotional like fans but they do have the ability to apply common sense. Why come play here and not be developed when you have other options? And in this age, maybe get paid more?

I'm envious of our fans that remain so steadfastly positive about this staff. Hard to tell if it's denial, delusion or legit confidence but it's admirable. I have no confidence in them to win anything of significance here. A lame duck staff we are paying roughly 20 mil a year collectively and can't rid ourselves of because we owe them more than we've paid them. And if we do somehow find a miracle sum of money to rid ourselves of them, the celebrated 25 class can just leave with them. Quite the paradox.

I think people have hope because of how well the staff seems on paper.

I'm not saying I am happy about the product on the field or giving the coaching staff a complete pass here, but I find it odd so many of these coaches have had success elsewhere, or even here, in developing players. Yet, now it looks like they can't coach.

Raymond's been successful coaching DBs

Bakers been successful with being a DC and also an lb coach

Sloan was successful last year as QB coach. I don't think he should remain our OC though.

Hankton was successful at UGA

Wilson has been successful coaching rbs

I don't know much about Slade

Brads been successful as an o line coach

Kelly has been successful as an hc at multiple stops. I don't want to get into all that he can't win the big game stuff. Right now he isn't winning the ones he really should and the team is looking worse week to week, which is out of character from his resume.

Yet the product on the field looks like Kelly has never been an hc and all these guys have never been coaches at a high level before. Again, I'm not saying the coaches don't share in the blame, but it's very odd to me that, based on their prior coaching experiences, all of these coaches can't get their respective positions playing at a much higher level or at least steady improvement week to week instead of going backwards.

Recruits absolutely hate winners.

Let me remind you that recruits like:

Playing time

Money

A chance to get to the NFL

College Pu$ $!

That’s it

How many freshman are playing any type of role on this team? 1?

Kelly doesn’t play freshman. He is loyal to upperclassman to a fault is what you see.

He's correct they're not as emotional but at some point, there's a threshold. If you lose every week and every week ugly...recruits are going to start to question what kind of program can BK build since he lost his team. At that point, you're going to bleed recruits. This class will likely have at least a few who question and leave.

Also, with this theory, wouldn’t Devin Harper see immediate playing time?

Please take the coach bashing to the Rant and leave the Recruiting Board for recruiting discussions.

Are you under the impression that the perception of the coach doesn’t play into recruiting?

If any of the recruits spend time reading what our fans says about our team, they will look elsewhere. Thanks for your contributions.

I’m under the impression that the negativity should stay on the Rant.

So true. Its why BAMA, UGA, Ohio State never pull top classes and are ranked low every year… ffs
