NIL is money from deals made from boosters/ outside sources of the university that compensate players for their name, image and likeness used in commercials, public appearances
99% of these dudes are getting “NIL” money for nothing. No commercials or appearances of any kind

Don't disagree. I was just explaining to the guy the difference between the 2. There are some I've seen on a Gordon commercial.

I mean 20.5 mil really is too low if top teams are going to spend 5-7.5 mil on a qb every yr.
But it’s supply and demand. The supply is not increasing and it seems you’re advocating increasing the revenue money supply. The likely result will be inflation of the revenue compensation for that QB relatively proportional to the increase in money supply (since supply will be virtually stable). It solves nothing, but it does increase player compensation. Double the cap and you’ll double the revenue share amount that QB gets. However the NIL bag each school has will likely not change, so the inequalities between schools will persist. I don’t think it will solve anything in the current system, but I am sure the players would love it.

It’s not the cap that’s the problem. It’s the unlimited transfer rule. Restrict transfers to one without sitting out a year and this all calms down.
What we have now is complete team rebuilding every year.

Agree….
How about the more you pay 1 player the lower your cap should be. So if you pay a QB or LT say $4mill then reduce the cap by $1 million. (25% of NiL of that player) That maybe a nice or unique way to keep the overpay on 1 position down somewhat.
No matter what happens to NiL the transfer rules need to be limited. 1 free transfer then sit out 1 year on second transfer. Exception if moving from JUCO to FCS. No exception or extra transfer when coaches change jobs, manage that 1 free transfer like gold.
