Never thought he was coming to LSU, he's originally from Wisconsin and has only been in BR 3, maybe 4 years.

Wish we could have pulled him with Cook, both will be good players. We will need guards bad in 2020.

Well LSU has 2 on team UVA has 5. At least he is not afraid to compete.

To a degree. At the same time, Beekman should’ve seen the opportunity here to be something unlike going to UVA who is already loaded and just won a natty. Nobody wants to look around to build something great anymore in recruiting in any sport, just look for what’s easiest

Man, this sucks. It is always a little bit a bigger sting when you lose a top 100 player from your backyard.
I trust Wade completely at this point; but I would be curious to know if this was more a product of some of the program instability still surrounding Wade or if LSU just didn't push hard enough for him b/c they had other targets they liked more?

I expect 2020 to be a complete monster class. Not worried about Beekman. Not sure there was a lot of mutual interest from the beginning.

You're getting downvoted into oblivion for some reason, but you're right.
UVA is an elite school and is a much better basketball program at the moment (obviously). And Charlottesville is an incredible college town.

I am not here to gloat though. Feel very lucky to grab him out of Baton Rouge. Looking forward to seeing what he can do. Seems like a very high character kid

Cook's going to get a massive bump, and he's going to be the point guard in the class.

He's going to get another one on top of that at the next update.
Kid is terrific. Far more athletic than Beekman, who's a nice player and a perfect fit at UVA.
