I'm not sure why this isn't getting more downvotes, crapping on our QB's before they've even had a chance. It's one thing to suggest that there are opportunities where we are thin. But I guess being a doctor also makes you an expert in quarterback talent evaluation?

Seriously? You don't think being at LSU for 3+ years means he shouldn't hit the ground running. Like I have said, MANY times I have seen QBs who have thrown fewer passes than Brennan and shorter time on their squad than Brennan and didn't even know they were going to play (i.e. starting QB got hurt during the game), and they actually look like they have played QB before. The expectations were NOT to be Burrow...the expectations were to have a decent arm, decent speed, not double clutching and triple clutching/holding the ball too long, and actually being able to see wide open receivers. If you didn't expect that from a RS JR QB, you set the bar way, way too low.

Agreed. After one game of Bo Pelini, I am certain we’ve downgraded from Aranda. Play some fricking zone dude. Repeatedly Giving up 20 yards on shallow crosses and running stunts that took too long to materialize all game. Did we play zone once??

How many three and out did the defense have all game?
Same defense performance we had vs A&M a couple years ago.
Same problem. Secondary was banged up in that game as well.

If you want to see the game up close and personal, you tube has film study video that breaks down the game , and shows the good bad and the ugly , so you can see for your self
QB didn’t lose the game by himself , but it did make a glaring case , he should be replace

I believe that we need to seriously pursue a transfer QB as well to come in and start immediately.

While this may end up being true, it's not true today.

Let the season play out. Burrow signed with LSU in May. Costello signed with MSU in the spring. The transfer market is still hopping in the summer. Plenty of time to let nature run its course.

I agree but I like Nuss and Johnson just for the fact they have dad's who played in the league and that has to help. Not saying they are Burrow but that has to help that their dad played in the NFL.

Interested in Finley just for his size.

Not giving up on Brennan just yet but if he does poorly this season they for sure have to get a transfer qb.

Agree with you about Nussmeier and Johnson. People need to quit using Burrow as the comparison. That guy is the next Tom Brady in the NFL. To quote the famous philosopher Happy Hogan in Spiderman Far from Home to Peter Parker. "You're not going to be the next Iron Man. No one can replace Tony". But the starting QB should be decently competent and not look lost out there. IF Brennan plays the same way vs Vandy in the 1st half, he shouldn't be the QB in the 2nd half. PERIOD!

You almost got a downvote for crybaby Tom reference, but redemption and a half for the Marvel plug! Have an upvote my friend

I don't know much about Toles but McGlothern IMO was the MVP in the HS All Star game he played in. He had 2 INTs and almost a 3rd. The guy is big enough and fast and what I noticed is he anticipates where the ball will be/good football instincts. Dwight McGlothern should be out there right now as a TR FR unless there is an injury issue. He would be a huge upgrade to the secondary I saw vs Miss St.

Come on man! I’m glad most on this board aren’t coaches. What happen to trust in O? I guess if Miles has a great game this week he will be the second coming of Joe, right.
Give the dude a chance to get his feet a little wet before you quit on the kid. Just think if we went after Newman or T.J., that would have been great, right. Would have been right back with Miles with less reps and no confidence.

Many of us said the right thing to do was to try to get King the grad transfer from Houston and he seemed to be interested. What does LSU have now...an UNPROVEN 4th year roster player who had more career INTs than TD passes coming into this season and a 60% completion % which is meh these days...especially when all he ever did was mop up duty. And who are the backups...2 TR FR. You honestly think LSU is fine at QB? I repeat if Brennan looks as bad as he did last week (holding the ball too long, making poor choices for targets, not seeing wide open receivers, etc), then he should not start the 2nd half of the game.

A mistake you are making, and most people on this board make, is to think that our recruiting needs change from year to year. They are the same recruiting needs:
Elite offensive linemen
Elite TEs and WRs
Elite RBs
Elite QB
Elite Dlinemen
Elite LBs
Elite DBs
Sometimes we need to go to the transfer portal to get experience at a position because we failed to get the above list one year or more. Other than that, it’s same-same. When we sign freshmen it should not be to come in and play right away. Occasionally you get a Stingley, but you can’t count on that. We are recruiting them for two years down the road, and by then, ALL your studs, at every position group, will be gone.
