I understand that media outlets need to sensationalize the information they acquire, but it appears that both the offensive and defensive players they anticipated are not materializing. The situation is constantly evolving, so why even disseminate that information? Until a player is actually on the field in a purple and gold jersey, it’s impossible to trust anyone in the recruiting process. Even some of the paid sites only release information 30 minutes to an hour before a commitment, and at that point, is it truly worth $60 per year? I am just waiting till recruits join the forums to give their list of demands.

There is a market for it.

Human beings generally have a kink for knowing something they shouldn’t or something they know others do not.

What does this mean? Or Who are you referring to? I think the HS and Transfer recruits have materialized just fine.

Listening to Scona, he said we had a playoff OT and safety silent commits.

Considering Moscona to be “recruiting media” is your first mistake

Yeah, I thought everyone discounted those reports long ago.

You know some people are still running with it as if it were gospel and they will be telling stories of how Moscona lied to them about a safety 10 years from now.

There’s no point in paying for it because there’s always some a-hole willing to run here and post it for clout after Shea Dixon or some other insider posts their info.

So why spend the money

This has been going on since the first recruiting class was covered. They can hear things. Some can even be accurate. But players /recruite can change their mind, lie, or get a better offer later.

It’s a perfect set up for the media to say almost anything and have good cover for it. They do have to be right enough of the time or they will be found out. But otherwise it’s fair game.

Welcome to the recruiting media world of the last 25 + years.

My opinion. Stay away from pay walls. It’s ALL opinion.
