Check this out, though. This says 4.5. If true, his speed is good already.

Spears

40 times are more embellished than height. He doesn't look to be a 4.5 guy, but he may just not have a quick first step...a slow first gear.

Considering it's his first year, looks like a quick study IMO

So, basically a project type player like Armand Williams???

Not at all. Looking at his film, this guy runs better routes than most college sophomores and has great hands. Should see pt as a true freshman IMO.

It was really a very detailed process that led to the decision to offer this Wide receiver.

One of the coaches got their hands on a roster and when the coaches looked over it they realized they didn't have anyone named Spears. So, they decided to offer.

Do yourself a favor and not question LSU recruiting.
If LSU offered they think this guy can play in the SEC.

See this upcoming NFL draft if u still have a question.

BTW dont forget to add Tyrann to this yrs draft class and there's a longshot for Hurst.

Everyone makes way too much of a deal out of a kid's 40 time out of high school...the coaches at LSU can help Kevin increase his time, but he runs a 4.5...
Not to make a comparison, but at the NFL combine Jerry Rice ran a 4.65 and Micheal Irvin a 4.52. I would love to have either one of these at LSU. This kid is a hard worker and will be a playmaker!

I don't think LSU can swing that, Alabama maybe...
