I keep reading that he wants LSU but we will not reach out to him or his coach. I also read that Faulk likes Kiner more, but are we not reaching out because we are afraid Kiner will decommit or are there issues with Wheaton?

Or do we grade RBs for next cycle higher and do not want to risk them not committing because of room?

Genuinely curious to hear what people "in the know" have heard.

Think everyone is in the same boat.

My take is he just likes liner more and if they have room they will take another rb

We just have to trust Faulk's eyes on this one.

I really find it hard to believe that the top RB wants LSU and LSU doesn't want him back. Faulk cant be that blind to think Kiner is better

I don't see any logic here

Maybe its style of running or receiving ability in this offense?

Is Kiner like CEH? Ive watched highlights of neither... so can anybody offer comparables to past LSU or NFL RB's for reference?

He’s small so somewhat like CEH. I do think it’s weird that consensus 1 RB wouldn’t also get in if he wants in

Nobody would have predicted that Chris Curry would be getting the starting nod over Emery and TDP either. Both were more heralded and rated higher. Yet here we are.

I trust Faulk. And yes Kiner is more similar to CEH than any current back on LSU's roster.

Man you nailed it, like we should trust some nobody, multi-super bowl winning , retired pro bowl running back from NFL, over these really really good recruiting services, who May or May not have scene these kids actually play. You Da Man

You say this as if LSU just looks at 247 composite rankings to decide who the best players in the country are. It sounds like Kiner is the guys Faulk wants and stars don’t really matter to these coaches. Clyde was the 29th ranked RB in his recruiting class and 378th overall ranked player in the country. I think it’s fair to say that Kiner is very underrated and seems like a complete back. Is he going to be better than Wheaton, idk, maybe... Faulk seems to think Kiner is better or at least a better fit

You are The epitome of stupidity, Mr. English professor. You’ve probably never stepped foot in one class @ LSU nor go to games, but keep educating us on how “blind” Kevin is. Oh by the way Kiner is only averaging 12.7 yds Per carry and 5.2 TDS in first four games. Damn you Mr. Faulk for getting that scrub .

I don't think we need two running backs in this class

I personally think maybe Faulk sees himself in Kiner. Can't begrudge that.

Marucci evaluation may also have an impact on the decision making.

Who is the best receiver out of the backfield?

Who can bump out wide like Clyde did?

These are the answers to your questions.

There was a dumbass last year that was always questioni g why Clyde was out wide last year. He was wrong. He eats crow but no one cares.

That dumbass was me.

a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush

Kiner is all IN and 100% committed to LSU and Faulk. I trust the coaching staff as this Ohio kid will shine in our offense.

I was one of the dumbasses who posted during the Texas game that Clyde wasn't good enough and it was time to give Emery the ball...

This year I've learned to refrain from having stupid opinions
