I would take Ewers without a second thought. The kid can play football very well.

I think he could have some potential. I think we need a Junior/Senior QB with some knowledge to help pave the way for our younger QBs to learn. Too many freshman/sophomore players lead to tough competition and potential transfers.

We should just start our 5* stud as a true freshman.

I'm sure Kelly and Frank Wilson are weighing all options. We have two young players that have good potential in Nuss & Walker. I think we need an upperclassman to give the underclassmen time to grow into starting in the rugged SEC. I've seen too many freshmen thrown into playing too early and hurting the team, and their growth.

Walker had a nasty injury to the point where he couldn't feel his toes. I doubt he gets to practice this spring. It will be pretty hard for him to start next year.

An interesting name from the bottom of the list in the transfer portal:

Kelly may slow play the QB situation. Let Nuss get some work in and show what he can do with ample prep, then look elsewhere for some experience if need be.

Notre Dame has a few 4 stars on the roster that I'm sure Kelly is very familiar with. Drew Pyne and Tyler Buchner.

That's an interesting story which shows how coaches lie.

Walker played recently in his high schools playoff game and did really well. He isn't full strength but he could absolutely practice. Hard to see a true freshman come in and take over even in LSU's current situation

They need to burn that Redshirt and let Nuss get in there and play ball
