I’m not sure there is an o-line in college football that can protect for 4-5 secs each passing play!

Having a QB that can run will help.

Burrow never keeps the ball. I don’t get it.

Kline a lot more knot than qb, at this point. Drew Brees couldn’t do anything with the current oline.

He is our only QB, can't get hurt. Yes we have Miles and how many snaps has he played? They don't want to burn his redshirt but why didn't they even try him in the game when we were up 24-3? It doesn't make sense!

He could have started this game, rice, and A&M and kept his redshirt bro

We are experiencing an Oline that allows immediate penetration. Against Bama the nose tackle beat our center and guard and was through a Gap almost immediately. In the first and second quarter last night Arkansas very quickly beat our line right off the staff.

Our OL has been the root of our offensive woes in the past 2 seasons

Dude have you watched any of the games this year? As soon as the DL reaches our OL they're through the line and putting pressure on our QB, he is then interrupted, has to move which changes the angle he just had and has to readjust to make the throw which takes longer and he's eventually sacked.

The fact of the matter is that our OL doesn't play with veracity or tanasity like they could and should. Against team like Ark yes they should be able to hold their blocks for 3 to 5 seconds. Against bama, at least 3 seconds but then the routes have to be adjusted for quick throws. The players have to be aware of quick throws. We routinely miss blocks altogether just miss the defender that should be blocked.

Screen plays should be easy to block and while our screens are obvious, we should still be somewhat successful. It never is even close to successful. The scheme could help some as well. I'm not sure if it confidence in the offense or what it is but it needs to be fixed ASAP. Our QBs WRs TEs FBs RBs OL are plenty good enough to score 38 to 40 points per game on anyone.

The coaches need to ask no demand more from these players and the players need to feel like the coaches have their backs with play calling. If any player has a problem with criticism they can take a hike. If any player takes a play off, doesn't give 100% effort, is caught looking around while teammates are playing, doesn't wrap up, gets pushed around, missed blocks, drops passes there should be consequences. Take them out for a quarter or two. Let someone else play. Make sure they spend more one on one time with coaches in practice, require they watch more film, make them run more and do what ever it takes for them to learn from it and play with a completely different attitude and sense of urgency. Have positive talks with them, show them film of great LSU past players, legends and NFL players who play that position. Do what ever it takes and but shoe them that all this is ultimately for their own future and this team.

Tell them that this is a championship program and we will not let anyone slack off because the team needs them. You have to expect and demand perfection even in blowout wins. You have to always challenge them and start proving to the country and all elite recruits that you are the coach they need to play for and with.

This business of giving them slack and going easy on them, saying they did their best but have to improve is nonsense. Demand it the week of practice, game day and the week after. Set the time in the offseason. LSU has to be hard on itself to ever get back to where it once was. This season has been good but it can be so much better. D White needs to make sure the team leadership is continued next year if he leaves. This staff needs to make sure the team leadership is there in theoffseason.

Struggling line + tight gaps + slow RB's = No running game.

EVERY DAMN POST IS A NOVEL...

Cmon dude, get a grip please. I know it makes no difference, but every one of your posts is auto downvote for me. Constant walls of blah blah blah. It’s your opinion, right, wrong or indifferent, and that’s fine. But PLEASE at least try to be concise.

Then STOP running the damn read option if the QB is not going to keep the ball at least 50% of the time. Are we that bad at coaching?

Our great hope at left tackle is Rosenthal.
I think he would have been a top 5 offensive tackle coming out of high school but for him insisting he was a defensive linemen.
If Rosenthal could lock down left tackle, that would leave Charles, Magee, Deculus and maybe even Traore to battle for the right tackle spot. I don't feel like Charles has progressed this season. He was arguably better as a true freshman than he's performed this year.

This X 100.

The 2015 and 2016 OL's were solid veterans all capable of playing in the NFL. LSU averaged 6.1 YPC those 2 seasons. They slipped to 4.8 YPC last year and 4.0 YPC this year. Malone, Teuhema and Weathersby average OL at best and the reason we had to plug in freshman starters last year as well as players this year that still are not ready to start full time.

I'm wrong? They are above average? Funny how not a single one of those guys even made an NFL practice roster.
