Grey-shirt or scholarship. Have to think he wouldn't mind being Grey shirted for a while as he is from Louisiana and could apply for tops. I am in no means devaluating him, im just looking at it from another way.

I watched this kid last year vs Ouachita. He can absolutely boot the ball. Very impressive. Started at MLB and was all over the field. He’s an athletic kid.

Worthy of the scholarship.

I think he is the best punter in the country. He's also a good athlete for the position which never hurts.

The guy is from Louisiana and is considered the number 1 punter in the country. He deserves to have a scholarship. What kind of question is this??????

no you don’t have to think that. While being on tops would help with school cost, it is not the same being on an athletic scholarship. If he isn’t on an athletic scholarship he wouldn’t be able to enjoy the nutrition center, etc... he is deserving of the scholarship. Not having good special teams can be detrimental to a team. We’ve been lucky as of late, having good punters and kickers.

I thought I read a couple of years back that since at least some other states don't have the equivalent of TOPS, the NCAA would count a TOPS scholarship as part of the 25/85 caps. I could be wrong.

I thought I read that he isn’t just this years #1 punter but he is the top punting prospects in multiple cycles.

He is. My son is arguably the second best punter in LA for 2021 and the gap is BIG .

Todd is the best punter to come out of Louisiana since Donnie Jones and at 6'5" 220 lbs he is the best player West Monroe has on their defense.

It’s crazy how much people undervalue punters. They’re a big part of a game. You don’t want them on the field often, but when they are you expect them to pin it in the 20 or flip field position.

Todd is the guy to have at punter.
