I will settle for 4/5 5 stars anyday
For a longtime fan, having our program/staff work their arse off to even be in position for an opportunity of this type is awesome. Unfortunately, we are faced with the likelihood that the loss of even one of these five stars will result in some idiots coming in here bitching about the player, staff, etc.

When it comes down to it, it's still just high school kids choosing where they want to play a game for a few years. No reason to bash a young guy or other people based on that decision.
Not only that, but there are only so many positions on a team, and only so many scholarships to give out.
This is not the days of the Bear signing 100 kids.

This is good for every scenario other than Fournette choosing Bama. If that happens, brace yourself for the biggest melt in LSU recruiting history. Grown men will cry

I really am afraid that this board will focus more on the recruit we miss, rather than the 4 we gain
which is incredibly sad
There's a poster on 247 that has been melting down since CRob and Hootie picked elsewhere. He's already completely trashed Frank Wilson and the staff for losing them saying they've been outworked and basically said that Frank Wilson isn't a very good recruiter if he lost out on Speedy.
He's absolutely trying to lead a mob on that site and it's pretty pathetic. I honestly can't believe he's allowed to still post.

If LF chooses Bama I will stop following recruiting. LC already lowered my passion for recruiting a couple years ago.

For LSU to get 4 from LA (maybe 5 of 6 btw) today, 1 more in Adams, to add to the 1 we have (should at least be 2, prolly 3: Quinn & Voorhies) for something like 6-8 of those 32 is flat out crazy by normal football standards.

This thread delivers.....sucktitude.
By the OP's logic, if LSU missed out on all 8 targets at the UA game, we would not want them because they didn't choose LSU. Just a total full retard, make-yourself-feel-better, whistling-past-the-graveyard line of thinking, if I can be gracious enough to even call it thinking.
I'd bet LSU gets most of these guys, but I'll reserve the right to be irritated or not once I see who we miss and who they are replaced with at positions of greatest need.
Who exactly will you be irritated with? The recruit? The LSU coaches? The recruit's parents? The coaches of the school that they select? I am sure that all of the above are concerned about your irritation.

You can act like a 5-yr-old and say, "meh, we didn't want Fournette anyway since he now has decided to attend Bama," but you are only fooling yourself.
The more emotionally mature way to handle it is to acknowledge the disappointment, not act like the expectation and hope never existed. Just juvenile thinking, imo.
And, for the record, I'd bet LSU coaches *DO* care that they lost out on a stud. Do you think they have the same approach as you? Just ignore it, or say it didn't matter because "we don't want a guy who doesn't want LSU?" No! They are going to try to assess what they could have done differently.
You are like the guy who gets dumped and says you never liked her much anyway -- instead of maybe taking a hint and bathing more or brushing your teeth.

you are a full rantard/retard. the coaches work their asses off to get the best players that they can. you sound like a chicken little, sky is falling vagina. sure, i will be disappointed if we don't get all of the recuits we want, but at the end of the day, if they say no, it it time to move on immediately and work with the the players that actually chose LSU and WANT to be a part of this program.
