It's not that he didn't pick LSU, it's how he went about it. He knew he wasn't coming to LSU after his Alabama visit, but let LSU think he was still in their camp up until 11:00pm the night before NSD, resulting in LSU losing out on another recruit (a typical a-hole move by Alabama and Nick Saban). No, this was a totally immature, dick move by the Surtains, and he deserves whatever bad Karma comes his way. Screw him and his a-hole father.

I don't blame him a bit. A chance to play for saban and championships.

It's the kid's decision. He's not being paid millions of dollars a year, the coaches are. If O can't manage to have contingency plans in place like other coaches do, then that's his fault.

Surtain doesn't owe you or LSU a damn thing.
Us? No. LSU? Yeah, he owed them (or really Raymond) at least a smidgen of courtesy, but that's all. This isn't all just "business".

No O cost us another player. Goodrich committed to Clemson on Monday.

And he gave it to them by notifying them the night before. He could have easily led them on until his announcement.

Manage your numbers better in the early signing period so you're in position to take both. Orgeron is too infatuated with "loyalty" though. He took lesser players that LSU could've waited on or gotten similarly ranked players at NSD.
I understand your point, but can you imagine the uproar if LSU held back 8 or so offers during the early signing period and whiffed on NSD. Fans would bitch that we should have managed our early signing offers better and taken those that truly wanted to be Tigers then.

I don't see it this way. He knows damn well Corey can't replace him in 6 hours.

I have never once criticized a kid or wished any ill will on a player. I've questioned paid coaches and critized a very questionable hire like the rest of the college football world. That is a huge difference.

And yet some of the most accomplished coaches missed on top recruits and didn't fill the class.

Ok? It's his decision, the kid is a teenager and had a difficult time. If he was your son, you'd make him go to a school he didn't want to just because it may be rude? It's his future.

This ^^^^ Especially when the other kid has multiple offers from other schools and actually wants to be at LSU.

Fine but don't be a classless POS and be a disingenuous f*** head and lie to people
Posted on 2/8/18 at 9:14 am to Jonrubberman
Worst part was his quoted reason..something to the effect of they win championships.....well, ok, if that was your factor in who you choose, then LSU was out from jump because last time I checked, Bama won the last title.
So fricking say that a month ago so a school like LSU can adjust.
Show fricking respect.

The Groupie mentality. Oh my goodness, can I kiss his ring? The lord has asked me to play for him. I must kneel before him. I guess the Georgia recruits, Ohio State recruits, Texas recruits, didn't' quite see it this way.
Maybe they believe in their abilities? Because coming to lsu as a db is sooooo bad. TM7, P.P., Morris Claiborne, Jalen Collins, Jalen Mills careers aren't fulfilled w/o being a groupie and playing for the lord that is saban.

F*** it losing doesn't hurt anymore but somebody's going to walk away in a f****** stretcher. Somebody's going to wish they never played football that night and they won't be wearing purple and gold
