Not kidding, but Bech. Remember just because someone puts his name in the portal doesn’t me he’s gone; many guys have withdrawn.

Because he’s a sure-handed possession receiver who can go over the middle.

The thing is to convince him to be a role player here instead of a top 2 option at a lesser school.

Unless you want to see more passes dropped by Kyren ULLacy

There's no way of actually knowing at this point. We could point out positions of perceived need, but unless the coaches come out and name names, we're all kind of in the dark until and unless players start naming offers.

Ideally, yes, it would be preferable to hold onto a proven veteran who is a 4th or 5th option in the passing game when you rotate receivers like LSU does, but if Bech wants more snaps, it's time to break in someone new.

Isn't this what Ibieta is supposed to be also?

I think the two biggest positions to target are DB and LB. And anytime you can add strength to your DL and OL, you do it.

If you are a 3 star bench sitter with a scholarship, enjoy being a member of the team, earn your degree and move on to a productive life. Be thankful for the opportunity

Bech had the third-best catch rate after Nabers and Lacy (before the SECCG game at least) of anyone with more than 2 targets.

Both Lacy and Bech had some inopportune flubs. Neither should be judged by those, though Lacy's drops in the A&M really affected the early feel of the game IMO.

Jack Mashburn had 2 catches in 2 targets for 12 yards, 12 yards after catch, 0 TD(s), 100% catch rate

Josh Williams had 18 catches in 21 targets for 113 yards, 132 yards after catch, 0 TD(s), 85.71% catch rate

Malik Nabers had 58 catches in 79 targets for 726 yards, 265 yards after catch, 1 TD(s), 73.42% catch rate

Kyren Lacy had 19 catches in 27 targets for 168 yards, 59 yards after catch, 0 TD(s), 70.37% catch rate

Jack Bech had 14 catches in 20 targets for 157 yards, 54 yards after catch, 1 TD(s), 70% catch rate

Chris Hilton Jr. had 7 catches in 10 targets for 109 yards, 15 yards after catch, 0 TD(s), 70% catch rate

Kayshon Boutte had 42 catches in 62 targets for 431 yards, 163 yards after catch, 1 TD(s), 67.74% catch rate

Armoni Goodwin had 4 catches in 6 targets for 19 yards, 19 yards after catch, 0 TD(s), 66.67% catch rate

Mason Taylor had 27 catches in 41 targets for 263 yards, 171 yards after catch, 2 TD(s), 65.85% catch rate

John Emery Jr. had 11 catches in 17 targets for 123 yards, 124 yards after catch, 2 TD(s), 64.71% catch rate

Brian Thomas Jr. had 25 catches in 39 targets for 306 yards, 132 yards after catch, 4 TD(s), 64.1% catch rate

Jaray Jenkins had 24 catches in 38 targets for 332 yards, 92 yards after catch, 5 TD(s), 63.16% catch rate

Kole Taylor had 5 catches in 8 targets for 55 yards, 25 yards after catch, 0 TD(s), 62.5% catch rate

Noah Cain had 7 catches in 13 targets for 71 yards, 60 yards after catch, 0 TD(s), 53.85% catch rate

D-line and LB HAVE to be top priority and not necessarily in that order.

Going to be a lot of players so disappointed. Many will be heading to FCS, D3 and JUCO and a lot nowhere. So long free college education. Sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side the fence!

This can be very misleading. Break it down by the number of targets in different parts of the field. You are going to complete a higher pct of short passes than long passes. Did Bech have a target all year of more than 15 yards down the field?

That kind of works both ways. Daniels tended to be more on target with short and intermediate throws. But throws over the middle tend to be contested more strongly and contact is often much more forceful. Which has the most impact or do they offset each other?
