I think he will be changing positions with Kiel in the mix this Spring.

Im not saying you are wrong because I truly dont know but how do you know this? He looked decently accurate in his videos.

Why do you MF's always have to factor race into our QB discussions and group all black QB's who can run in one category or just assume they aren't accurate because they have a nice arm and run fast?

Eithor he can play or he can't. It seems we are tightest fanbase when things are perfect and the most divided fanbase in the country when one thing goes wrong. Race has no place at LSU. We are all purple and gold Tigers(or black and gold Saints).

He will probably start at QB next year because he will be the best at avoiding the rush

I know he was headed to Oregon and suddenly went with LSU instead. I never heard any reason why.... By all accounts he is very fast(someone posted he runs the 40 in the low 4.3's) and has a tremendous arm. I have never seen him play, only read what others have reported

I just looked at the vid someone posted earlier in this thread of JR. Dam, that dude is fast! and throws the ball well..

[quote]he's a black running QB who doesn't throw well. Miles will start him for 4 years.
Actually he has a strong and accurate arm. Check out the spring game this year because he will be on display big time in that one. Similar in skill set to Perrilloux but hasn't displayed the itch to break team rules like good ol' RP did from time to time.

However, you still have not stated how you know that to be a fact.

That is your guess? You have no foundation for that guess right? And don't go to Miles stating he is such a good athlete he could play more other positions. So could RG3 and Wilson of Wisky.

I doubt he stays at QB though.

Of course he's going to stay at QB and of course he is going to play.

So is JJ, but Miles said he started him for his feet. Miles values mobility even apparently at the expense of throwing ability.

Randell will be LSU's QB at some point.

Shepard had one weakness at QB, and it was arm strength. It was good, but not for the SEC on as a consistent passer.

Randall has a very strong arm, and while people claim he's inaccurate, they are simply going off random crap that has no substance.

He's not the most accurate QB on the team, but people are acting like he can't hit the broad side of a barn which is entirely false.

He's spent much of this year gaining and refining his knowledge of the offense and improving his decision making.

He's likely going to be the change of pace QB that runs the option.

This.

It's been mentioned on some pay sites by those who have access to the staff. Nothing definitive on a move, more on the possibility of a move. The lack of accuracy has been mentioned and cited as the achilles heal. TIFIW.

+1. He's not comprable to Shep who was an athlete who just happened to line up behind center. Randall is an athletic QB like Perilloux. I've heard nothing but good things about his ability since he stepped on campus. I'm real excited to see him, in a Perilloux 2007 role this year.

That's exactly what I see him doing as well.. He's faster than Perilloux and has a bigger arm than him. And if he was somewhat inaccurate this past season he'll have all spring and summer to sharpen his accuracy!
