Everyone seems to think that we've got Debose in the bag, which is great. We've got Benton coming in this season......and we'll still have Toliver and Tolliver, et al.

So, do you think that if we don't pull Randle that CLM will offer any other WR's?

Patrick Patterson ( Rivals #5 WR ) and Marlon Brown ( Rivals #9 WR ) still both have us on their short lists.

I'm just worried that if we want to take another WR in this class, we may end up with the dregs if Randle strings us along, waiting till the last minute, and then signs with someone else. That would be tough, especially when guys like Patterson are all LSU and just waiting for an offer.

Just my concerns......This whole process has to drive the coaches insane.

My concern is that RR ends up at BAMA.

We just can't let that happen... McNight all over again, but worse, he plays for a Rival in the West.

Debose, Benton, Toliver, and Tolliver are dregs?

I dont think you get Patrick Patterson (FWIW I think we goes to bama....unbiased just from what ive heard), and I dont think you get Marlon Brown either. I think if you dont get RR (who knows) then yall WR class would be done unless there is one that would change his mind and start lookin at ya, and lower ranked sleeper, or a commit to another school you could try to sway.

Serious question: How many WR were on your board, b/c to me it seems like most of the eggs went in the Debose/Randle basket??

if he wants to play in a wide-open offense that will showcase his skills, Bama wouldn't be a good choice.

ForeLSU, exactly! If RR doesn't come to LSU, he will regret it early on...Blammer will not be able to deliver what he wants...more than ever, they will be a running team with a green QB. LSU will be a passing machine next year...hid and watch!

and how would lsu showcase him better??

The way i see it, bama may struggle at qb NEXT YEAR, and even then i dont think (hope not) that our qb throws pick 6s like mardi gras beads. After next year though we will be back to an experienced qb.

Also, Saban runs a pro style offense and we wants to balance the run with the pass (from his own words). With him playing opposite Julio one would always create opprotunities for the other, and i think people would double julio leaving randle free to take yards! Also, right now we really only have one good reciever in jones. Plus RR could run trick plays for us!

In the lsu offense, you have tolliver (sp?), you should have benton and debose, lafell, and some other good recievers. i think he has a chance to be a bigger star, and threat at UA.

If I were the top recruit that Randle is, I would probably go out of state just to avoid the hoopla, expectations, and impending pressure that fans put on a local talent, as exhibited by the comments on this board daily. Especially if I didn't like attention.

My two cents, everybody has an opinion.

Benton,

Believe it when I see it. Until he walks on the field, you can't count him as part of the team. Good God it seems like he graduated in 2000.

I really don't think Randle is going to LSU. If he didn't like attention, wouldn't you commit BEFORE your senior season and get it out of the way? I just have a feeling he hasn't committed because he doesn't want to go through what McKnight and Davis did when they committed elsewhere. Hope I'm wrong.

yeah, because he would feel absolutely zero pressure playing for Alabama...as the number WR recruit...for Nick Saban...opposite of the great Julio Jones...and have to come back and play in Tiger Stadium...his home state.

Yeah, he would have no pressure.

i think he means a different kind of pressure

he can commit to bama and not look back

if he did that now, he and his family would live a shitty arse life for a good while

just like all the mcknight hate

would that just mean more pressure on the family if committed out of state. I'm just saying his argument and post stink.

In response to the UAla backer...

"After next year though we will be back to an experienced qb."
