whats so hard to understand. McElroy will be a junior next year, and assuming he starts over star he has two years, so after next year he will have a whole year of experience, hence we will be back to an experience qb...

Didn't everyone think we had Jarvis Jones in the bag?

Yup and it looks like we're a longshot now at best.

We're far from having Debose in the bag. He did an unoffical to UF last weekend with his dad and his dad was in UF gear. It's clearly 50/50 between us and UF.

They will. Just like we'll have an experienced QB after this year.

Clearly? I read the same things you have and I know many people are optimistic about this guy but... I side with prominentwon on this. It isn't 50-50. I think UF will come out with his signature in the end. I know I'm being negative on this one but I was the same way with McFarland. I just don't see it.

We can sit here and play worthless percentages all we want but I'm just saying he's not even remotely close to being in the bag like so many on here are/were thinking.

I thought Brodie Croyle had found another year of eligibility....

sentorius...do you not think fans bitch and complain like we do? That is a stupid statement to make, send the kid out of state...BS

Yea, I hear ya. I know that there will be pressure and that all fans are prone to complaint. At the same time, however, I still assert that it would perhaps seem less intimidating, and perhaps be less intimidating. I offer the oft-mentioned "meltdown" as evidence of native pride, enthusiasm, and hope. We all hope that great players choose our alma mater for matriculation. I merely wanted to offer my personal opinion that perhaps we should back off, thus making him feel less pressure.

would that just mean more pressure on the family if committed out of state. I'm just saying his argument and post stink.

If you concede that his choice of college could adversely affect his family's living, then you have acknowledged my point.

Also, Saban runs a pro style offense and we wants to balance the run with the pass (from his own words). With him playing opposite Julio one would always create opprotunities for the other, and i think people would double julio leaving randle free to take yards! Also, right now we really only have one good reciever in jones. Plus RR could run trick plays for us!

Yea..Saban is know for trick plays...

Saban likes those receivers to block and block a lot. Run is key with Saban, always has since it keeps his defense rested.

LSU with Saban had great receivers that had nice college careers, but not the marque stuff these guys MAY be looking for.

Saban is a defensive coach first. Miles is more offense oriented. Just how it is.
