And you give a shite about having "the best class EVER"?

Call me a dumbass, but did you read the title of this thread?

I agree, its a hell of a class, but like Stagg said there are needs that needed to be addressed and were not.

we lost guys like Campbell and Debose...Jesus Christ

If you honestly think Campbell was ever coming to LSU than

1)You pay WAY too much attention to the "info" (and i use that term loosely) on this board
2)You're an idiot for paying too much attention to the "info" on this board

Then you will agree that LSU will not land Montgomery

no, I think we have a shot at Montgomery, especially is he loves his visit and likes Chavis and Coach Brick

But he is from South Carolina and it's not like the Cocks and Clemson are lighting it up right now... Debose may have been the hottest commodity in the state of Florida and the Gators had a ton to offer him.. the fact we got as close as we did - and believe me, WE DID GET CLOSE - is a tribute to how well we recruited him

SFPs point is that LSU is expected to keep Randle home

Maybe you shouldn't... the last time Louisiana had a truly can't-miss, elite prospect that kid went to USC

Pratt would be huge

I disagree ..he was a project and not a key to this class

It's not that hard guys..

Yes, this is gonna end up being One of if not THE best class in LSU history. With Randle and Mingo I would rank it #1.

But it just isnt one of the greatest classes of all time for all of college football. If we had gotten Campbell, Debose, and maybe one of the LBs that went to UF...then now you're talking.

The class is gonna be great, but it HAS kinda been stuck in neutral coming down the stretch. But it doesnt matter. RR and Mingo will be great additions and JJ will sign the dotted line and everything will be great...

You may disagree but LSU held off on offering other RBs because we were full at RB with Ford and Pratt. Now, its the Ford and Ridley show in 2010.

It all depends on star rankings. Thats how recruiting classes are ranked, even if some of those recruits dont pan out. If LSU ends up with the highest star average than its the best ever. If it doesnt than its not. Pretty simple.

Any class the ends w/ Randle is not a bad finish. That's asinine.

Neither one of those guys are really spread option guys, which begs the question... is Crowton ever going to move back to the offense he's most comfortable with?

If the answer is yes, then Lache Seastrunk is even more imperative next year.

there was a lot of hype around how we would finish

who gives a shite about percieved hype?

Campbell was always Michigan.. he is from another part of the country for God's sake... we have a 5-star DT in Davenport and a rising DT prospect in Downs.. why bitch about losing out on a longshot DT like Campbell?

Debose and Campbell

again, Debose was a silent at one time...but you should appreciate that we got that close.. he became Florida's #1 target and they got him late.. I live here and keep up with it... We gave it everything we could and did well to be where we were with him... we lost him late for obvious reasons.. was that a shocker? ..of course not, move on

possibly Jackson

We did not finish strong

ever heard of Reuben Randle?

Agreed. Guidry looks to be going to Miami OH. Add that to the fact that Jackson is not even from Louisiana originally, eh....

Where is Janzen going? His dad isnt going to UT, and we just hired arguably the best DB coach in the country...

his offense is the spread, not spread option. he's still learning the spread option

and i doubt it. i think under les we will remain in pro-style for around half of our real offensive snaps

in his 4 years here we've yet to move away from that base offense with 2 difference OCs, so i don't expect it to change anytime soon
