1. 5-star DL Jahkeem Stewart
School: Reserve (La.) St. Augustine
Scout’s Take: “At this point in the early stages of the 2026 cycle, Jahkeem Stewart is the most advanced prospect regardless of position, both physically and with his on-field play. He is a 6-foot-5, 260-plus pounder who’s capable of creating disruption from anywhere on the defensive line. He’s a plus athlete, particularly in a straight line with a huge frame, 34-plus inch arms, and 10 ¾-inch hands. He’s highly advanced technically, has a deep bag of pass rush moves, can win from the outside as an EDGE and can slide inside and create a huge mismatch on the interior. He has highly advanced hands, counter moves — it’s rare that you see a sophomore player at high school level with, with this deep of a bag of pass-rush moves.” – Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

4. IOL Lamar Brown
School: Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab
Scout’s Take: “Lamar Brown is ranked as an interior offensive lineman, but he plays offensive tackle and defensive line for his high school. We currently project him on the interior but we could see him play multiple positions at the next level. His film certainly pops in a big way. He’s violent, he moves well and he has an extreme punch at the point of attack. Strong ability to get to the second level and has a lot of just natural play strength. For a 10th grader, he has really impressive film.” – Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
quote:
10. SAF Blaine Bradford
School: Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic
Scout’s Take: “Blaine Bradford is a do-it-all safety that excels in all three critical areas of the position: stopping the run, playing man coverage and playing zone coverage. Even though his sophomore season was cut short, the few games he was able to play in showed exceptional flashes in all three of these phases. His ability to trigger downhill and run the alley is elite. His hip fluidity and ability to mirror are on display in man coverage. And his ability to flip his hips and break to the football as a free safety shine on tape. He’s one of the most advanced safeties from a technical perspective as a sophomore we have seen in quite some time.” – Cody Bellaire, On3 National Scout

More like 4. Chris Henry’s dad is from Belle Chasse so his blood runs Louisiana deep.

I understand your logic, but CH Jr. was born and grew up in Charlotte. At 13, he moved to Cincinnati after PacMan Jones adopted him to help raise and provide a father figure.

Henry just moved to CA and is now playing at Mater Dei which is in USC's backyard. He committed to tOSU last year and their fans along with people in Cincinatti are like WTF ?? Henry's decision was likely influenced by an NIL deal and SC supporter.

2025 will be a featured offensive power class followed by 2026 featured defensive power class...fricking Brilliant!

This all sounds amazing. I really loved the description of "violent" for Brown.

In case anyone was still wondering, 2025 and now 2026 is why Brian Kelly left ND for LSU

That's not even in all of LA, that's a short trip down I-10 to see all of them.

Would be nice to convince Chris Henry Jr to come back to the boot.

Has the state of Louisiana ever had 2 of top 5 or 3 of top 10 before in any recruiting cycle? I'm genuinely shocked at the level of talent for 2026.
