Definitely not the most ideal situation, but this means you’ll hear some action on the transfer portal OL visit front later today.

These guys don't want to play football, they want to play monopoly. Guaranteed to start, but rather leave and hope another team pays him some money to put on uniform and watch football from the sidelines.

I don’t understand the big deal. This OL sucked donkey dick last year. Lane evaluated. Said they’re probably not good enough. He’s going to do work in the portal

My thoughts exactly. Just because OL target information is not public yet doesn’t mean work isn’t being done.
If I’m Lane, I keep the OL chatter the quietest. Get them in quietly & get pen to paper without the whole world knowing you want them.
Lane Kiffin obviously knows OL is his biggest weakness. Flush out the bad, bring in the new.

A handful of linemen that underperformed leaving is ideal, 9 offensive linemen entering the portal is not ideal in anyway. Replacing starters and now a ton of depth is going to consume a large amount of time and resources that could be spent elsewhere

While I understand what you’re stating, the idea of grabbing 9 OL in the portal is quite a tall task, factoring in the other teams need OL as well. I say 9 OL because that’s what we lost and would therefore need to keep the depth net 0. Lane may not need 9 but I just find it very difficult to think we can get that many quality OL from one portal. While our OL from last year may have struggled, I don’t believe they all lack ability to learn.
