Charles- is literally suspended 6 games for weed, NFL ain’t gonna like that.

Cush- good for us but doesn’t exactly grade out well on PFF and draft boards.

Deculus- definitely needs to improve some more

Maybe Cush, and that's a big maybe. Charles, I don't see it. Deculus will be back and he will be better. LSU has 14 olinmen total. Signed a few last season. 2 of which will be very good backups next season and maybe even starters. Still return Ingram, Hines, Rosenthal, Bradford, Thomas, Wire, Turner. Ingram will be back to his old self, Rosenthal is going to be an excellent LT, Hines is going to be a beast, Bradford and Thomas will be great. LSU needs to take only olinemen that they think can come in a play next season. Dumervil is one that could. Crawford is another that could come in and play significant minutes. Just don't see them signing any projects this class.

I think LSU will be ok there for another year. They will need to get some big timers next year though. It looks like Louisiana will have a better crop of O lineman next year.

Cush got absolutely destroyed by Brown from Auburn.

So much so that I legitimately feel bad for him when it comes time for scouts to look at the tape.

Selfishly, the flip-side is it should keep him here for another year.

That was primarily Truesdell. Brown did move around alot though.

And some of those were the responsibility of the OGs who weren't getting out of their stances fast enough to get angles and letting all 3 DL get in the gap first.

Your premise remains though... Cush does need to stay.

OP premise rest strictly on what's listed as a commit. Last year we got Kardell and Bradford (no doubt now... he's OG, not OT). With Martinez coming in, Dare and Hines both OL now... we're ok at OG. Dumervil is likely; we're in driver's seat I think. Crawford is ours if we want him (silent). Now it is only a matter of making numbers work if (when) Dumervil pulls the trigger and this class will be pretty set for OL.

Some interesting points in this thread.

From a being ready viewpoint - Cush; Deculus; and Charles all need to stay for next season.

I think Cush and Dec will stay.

I think that Charles is going to leave not because he is ready but - 1. Another dirty drug test and he is gone anyway. 2. Dare is gaining on him. 3. I suspect that he is feeling the heat from the coaching staff.

From a recruiting and roster management standpoint we don't really need a big OL class but we need at least 1 quality LT type player (Dumervil)

I hope that we finish with Dumervil; Crawford; and Martinez even though the numbers are tight.

I would be satisfied with Dumervil and Martinez.

People seem to forget we signed 5 good guys last year:
Kardell Thomas, Ray Parker, Anthony Bradford,
Thomas Perry, and Charles Turner.

Maybe I’m wrong but if we get Dumervil (and keep Martinez) I think we’ll be fine.

LSU will lose 3 lineman and currently have 2 committed (CamRon will change positions). They are also still in it with 2 elite tackles. I’d say it’s going well.

Problem is, 75% of all NFL teams has a Derrick Brown

We don't have any OL worthy of leaving early. They would all benefit from more time and experience before possibly moving on.
