Did they laser time them on grass? Reminds me of Hilliard being listed at 4.86.

Most of these guys are only 16 or 17 right now. They should drop a tenth or two or three in the forty as they mature physically and go through a college strength and conditioning program.

I agree that HS forty times are always overstated just like height and weight.

It will be the same thing at the U.S. Army combine. Laser times, strict measurements, etc. But as I have always said, there are very few legit 4.4 forty guys out there.

That CB Vernon Hargreaves's workout was outstanding compared to everyone else.

4.45 forty
34.5 vertical
7.10 3-cone
10.5 broad jump

(Although he could only do 11 reps of 185 on the bench )

LSU QB commit Gunner Kiel showing great feet as he moves out of the pocket and throws on the run.

Who cares that's like asking how fast can George Foreman hit a speed bag, back in his day.

A Big George punch looked like he was placing his hand on you gently only people didn't get back up.

Gunner has some of the best feet I have seen. When I watched his highlights, I was amazed at his feet and eyes

Gunner Kiel is going to put the ball on you and it's gonna be coming fast so you better be ready to catch it.

Rivals post giving small props to GK about uniform numbers fiasco...

==============================================
What they need are more kids like Gunner Kiel.

Kiel, the No. 1 rated quarterback prospect from Columbus (Ind.) East, got his high school number (11) but said he didn't really care either way.

"They could give me No. 25 or No. 46 or No. 99 - just as long as they let me play," he said.

Kiel, in fact, said the only reason he was No. 11 in high school was because that was the number he was assigned on his first day as a freshman.

There was defintely a head wind there. These guys are faster than this with laser. US Army will be different since it is inside. At any rate they all performed well

U.S. Army times will be slower than expected due to laser/electronic timers and the strictness of the testing.

Who would expect these kids to be in tip top shape in January anyway? Season is over in December, holidays, weather, nobody is going to set a record in the forty at this time.
