The haul next year is going to be exceptional. O has shown that he'll take steps to shore up weak areas. You should have more confidence in the man by now.

He hasn’t scored ip DE in the last 3 years.

I don’t really have confidence in that area.

2020 is loaded but in 2020 they’ll be freshmen, and we’ll be starting Farrell and Logan.

He also looking at how bad he let RB and Cn get this year, and that DL usually take linger to develop, I think it’s fair to be concerned about this.

"Next year" is the attitude of a loser. And the same thing last year was said when he shite the bed on signing day.

I'll give him this. He was a year late at RB/CB but got it done this year. Hopefully he does the same next year by adding about 8 of them. We are going to need it.

And others are saying it doesn't matter that he tried. Bitch all you want, but it will change nothing. The guy can't do more than try his best to convince a kid to sign with LSU.

Well shite I'm betting Les Miles knew of this sentiment.

He tried his best but people wouldn't stop complaining about him.

Burrow and Tracey were both brought in to plug holes.

A couple of offensive linemen.

To act as if issues haven't been addressed is disingenuous to say the least.

Both were upgrades to what we had on our roster, but we didn't really have holes at QB or K.

We still haven't been able to reel in elite OTs. Hopefully the fact they signed Parker means they think he'll make it to campus.

He addressed some issues, but created others in doing so. Our depth at CB and RB were pitiful last year. He addressed those concerns in this years class, but failed to address our needs at DL.

Miles continuously got criticized for his roster construction. Turns out, compiling top rated and well rounded recruiting classes isn't as easy as some thought.

So seeing the Dline haul coming out of the state in 2020 and acknowledging it is the sign of a loser. Gotcha.

I think he's saying that given the head coach's background as a defensive line coach that his recruiting in that area to date has been underwhelming. Not saying that I agree with that, but I think that's what he meant.

Does O get credit for other positions or just D line. Just curious I am new at this recruiting stuff and you seem to be an expert on the subject.

What if I told you that people were saying the same thing about d-line last year, citing this year's class with Sopsher presumably being the crown jewel?

Just playing devil's advocate, because I think the guy that signed today can be a fine d-lineman, but how many times are we going to kick this defensive lineman can down the road to next class?

I've been critical of the head coach in the past, but all kidding aside I thought he'd be bringing in the best and brightest linemen in every class. I'm legitimately shocked and bewildered by his results in that area.

It’s certainly become a sign of complacency and this next year mentality that run amuck this fan base.

If O wants LSU to be a consistent contender then he and his Dline coach need to hustle and consistently recruit the line EVERY single year.
We, as a fan base, were PROMISED by O and Alleva that we would contend for championships IMMEDIATELY. Here you are talking about 2020 and this next year mentality. That’s straight up complacency and laziness and I want to hold my head coach and his staff to higher standards.

This is true. We were supposed to be able to get Sopsher and some of the Mississippi guys (you know, since that's where Meatball's from).

Fortunately, we have several upper echelon guys in state for next year, so it should be easier to land them than the Mississippi guys. But I think we need to get at least one or two of the big out of state guys like Branard Wright or McKinley Jackson for it to be a great haul.

Go on the record what do you think LSU record will be next year?

What does it have to be for you to start getting worried?

I see people saying don't worry about not landing any elite D-linemen this year because of next year's crop. That's kicking the can down the road.
