I can give a little info on the scholarship limit according to Shea:

LINK

Now, he’s making an educated guess here, but it boils down to
1. The Max is 85 schollys
2. We have 71 currently on scholarship
3. Have to get down to 85 by next Fall
4. Subtract “Super Seniors”. 71-7 (assuming Sevyn Banks doesn’t take a medical redshirt) =64
5. He adds 4 walkons to scholarship =68
6. So, before Transfer Portal, early NFL entries, and High School signees, we’d only have 17 scholarships to work with, give or take.

It’s just something new that he’ll have to deal with, because unlike starting with too few scholarship players, he’ll be working in the other direction: with an abundance of riches.
Gonna be some interesting movements and hard choices, but CBK can figure it out.

We also need to subtract the graduates, which has to be about double digit?

eta. is that "super senior"?

Josh Williams is already on scholarship.

My guess is:
Ramos probably gets one.
Clayton
Nicholas

Not sure who the 4th would be. I'd have to check the participation reports to see who else is actually playing. I think Slade Roy got brought in on scholarship, but if not, he'd be my 4th guess.

There are 17 guys participating in senior night, Shea only subtracted the 7 who have fully exhausted their eligibility, but I think we can assume most of the 17 aren't coming back.

Yep + a few early entrants + a handful of processing, I think we get to 85 looking something like

30 HS
7 portal

I see the number at 54.
If we lose a few nonstarters to the portal, a few through regular attrition, that number maybe goes down to 50 maybe less.

That give Kelly 31 at minimum to play with. He can add a few good portal guys with that number.

We are way ahead of the game.

What about early entires to the draft? I’d assume Kayshon & Ojulari are gone.

At 68 and 30 (expected per Shea) high schoolers thats 98. Boutte and BJ gone, 96. You'll need 11 more guys leave early for the draft or transfer out, BEFORE taking any transfers in. You can get to 11 by any of the below leaving for whatever reason, and some might not (like Ward may return but he feels like a Flott taking a chance on himself).

Early Entrants (all opinion):
Jaray*
Garner*
Roy (please don't leave)
Ward*
Wire*
Mike Jones* (might not have anymore chances to play here)
Emery / Cain / Josh Williams (I feel like 2 of these 3 move on, but interesting none are doing senior night)
Bramblett

Transferring out(all opinions):
Kardell
Kimo
Marlon Martinez
Langston
Raydarious Jones
Damarius Mcghee
Derrick Davis

Guys forgoing eligibility to move on in life:
Jared Small*
Storz*

That's 19 possible which gives you option to take 8 transfers in.

Edit: * participating in Senior night

Disappointed with how many people aren’t familiar with the roster. Did y’all already forget about guys like Mashburn, Jared Small, and Nick Storz.

Biggest thing I’m paying attention to is which guys participate in Senior night.

Forget about them how? Mashburn and Small are already on football scholarship. I don't know if Storz is, but I doubt he's coming back next year. I'm pretty sure he'd have to get a medical redshirt for last year to get another year of eligibility.

Seems like the context of Shea's math was current walk-ons who will be on scholarship next year.

BTW, both Storz and Small are participating in senior night.
