Recruiting isn't over. Let's see what the total is after the first Wednesday in February.

We are favored for the #1 WR and #1 CB for this class. Not every recruit is going to sign during the early signing period. Wait till February to make a final assessment.

GFY. There’s one signing today. You obviously are just looking at stars instead of what needs were filled. This class is going to pay dividends in the trenches on both sides of the ball

Yep, we're pretty much Houston, now.

(With Surtain and Marshall, this class will be very much in line with the bread and butter classes going back 15 to 18 years - particularly when you consider how many linemen we needed and how many linemen we've signed - linemen, outside of pass rush specialists, rarely add any glamour to a class - but you can't compete without sufficient numbers of them.)

We didn't get a QB (or that looks less and less likely, unless we look at a grad transfer for February) but that's the only glaring problem with the class. And, again, with Surtain (PP 2.0) and Marshall, they're arguably #1 at their skill position - we were actually leading or second for 3 Top 5 DBs at one point. We got the #1 JUCO OT (dire need position).

No QB - that's about the only failure that keeps this from being a solid A or A+ class. If it finishes as expected, it's B+ or A-.

Stay in the Big 10. You obviously do not know what you are talking about nor understand recruiting.

I get it, I like the flashy 5 star highlight superstar recuits as much as anybody but this could be LSUs best class top to bottom in a few years. We needed big bodies above all and we got some.

Yep. Too much star gazing by some folks. LSU has had top 5 classes before loaded with 5 stars at skill positions but the rest of the class didn’t fill our needs. This class needed to stock up on big bodies to replenish the trenches and that’s what we’ve done. And we will finish with a few 5 stars to close it out to boot.

I dont follow it at all

I'll just look at ranking when its all said and done, if LSU doesn't finish in top 10, then I'll make my own judgement

I will say we definitely filled needs! And I love that. I love the fact “O” placed an emphasis on the lines. It does make me wonder however, as thin as our lines were and the opportunity for immediate playing time, why did we not attract some of the top players at those positions of need. Again, I love the class so far and I think we finish strong, but I feel like the opportunity for higher profiled recruits to get immediate playing time should brought them in. Just being greedy I guess.

5* recruits have more bust than 3* so LSU needs to focus on those 3* to become a major player again
