This will be Bama's excuse as to why they didnt land him. Just like Keanon Allen.
See my above post.

oh ok, I thought they were all mediocre. Did we offer any of the other 4?
Not that I'm aware of .

Was Tulane trying to get in on the Nkemdiche sweepstakes?
Was just checking out player profiles and Tulane has offered Ryan Carter and Kamara.
Tulane is probably about the right caliber of school for those two. Gallman could play at a lot of places though.

Anyone else just starting to not want this kid at all even if he decommits. Yes he is the best player in the country but the kid has an attitude problem and is already making demands of major college programs. Not that I had any respect for Clemson but giving into his demands makes them look like even more of pushovers

Well, maybe RK is doing what he thinks is right for him and his friends.

You still take him - any attitude he has going into LSU would be quelled when he realizes he has to actually compete against 3-4 other DL signees in his class if he wants to see the field. At Clemson, however, he'll have a spot reserved for him the day he steps on campus. Career wise he would be much better off going to LSU or Bama where he will be pushed.

They just might be correct in this case.
The only thing Nkemdiche could do now (within reason) to top himself would be to hold out on signing day (ala Janzen Jackson), let his boys sign at Clemson, then sign with Bama.

Setting aside all other considerations, what does this do to the Clemson program's image with other recruits?
What if you were already on the Clemson team and you saw this going on?
A VERY high price is being paid beyond mere scholarhsips and it will last for a few years...

Obviously RN is a great recruit; that goes without explanation. Gallman can play at any program, and be a solid contributor in the near future. Kamara will take some time to develop, but he can be a backup that may gradually find more time as he matures. Nick Schuessler is a walk-on, so no worries there. I think most Clemson fans feel that this new kid is not worth taking a shot on. All that RN said is that it would be a "done deal" if his other friend was offered. He never said he would decommit if we didn't offer. We'll see if Dabo has any backbone as this situation unfolds. Personally, I think he crumbles under pressure.
As a side note, I guarantee you if RN decommitted from Clemson, ANY and I mean ANY school would take him. Acting like your program is too good for the #1 recruit is absurd.

Well LSU is screwed if he decommits because I think we only have 5 open spots left

We'll take RN. You can have his band of merry bench warmers.

Or Ole Miss. If Clemson doesn't offer Carter then all 5 will switch to Ole Miss who is desperate enough to be a part of this debacle.

you'd tell someone else to take a grayshirt... and we have 7 spots left. I believe we can take 26
