Remember Eric gaines. Dude was a beast on defense.

I can't remember a player who dribbled the ball quicker than gaines. Just look at that speed. Always liked him at lsu.

Gaines is much like Garrett Temple in that he has the potential to play for multiple years in the NBA due to his D. He's more athletic, but shorter, and I assume slightly shorter wingspan. Will have to add some weight like Temple did and will have to bounce around the G league and some overseas.

6-2 is pretty damn small for today's NBA, so there will be greater challenges if he doesn't become at least serviceable from 3.

But I'll be rooting for him. Always played hard.

Damn that Gaines highlight tape was impressive. Looks a bit like Ja Morant

First guy I thought of when seeing his HS tape way back when. Incredible athleticism and length. Was arguably the best shot blocker (at 6’2) on LSU’s team that year. But unlike Morant, he never fully developed a consistent offensive game in college.

Interesting connection at Link is its current HC Bill Armstrong. Not sure how he feels about LSU, my guess is he's not the biggest fan. Bill was completely cleared during the IARP investigation.

I wonder what it's like coaching one of those national all-star prep school teams.

Doesn't Maxpreps have separate rankings for national and "regular" high school programs? Not sure how they differentiate. Maybe it's national schools that board players.

Cenac has been averaging a new offer on pretty much an hourly basis over the past several days.
