Link stating they have to be entered by may 1. But can sign after and be eligible. Similar to sec rule and steen situation. Sec rule is feb 1st. Steen was in well before that date. But didn’t Sign until recently. He is eligible.

That is wrong. Player must be in the portal by May 1 in order to compete in 2022.
LSU has until August to use the remaining scholarships on transferring players.

I could be wrong but instead of using up 1 of our last 2 scholarships on a player with 1 year of eligibilty left could we not just get him to "walk on" and find him some NIL money to cover tuition?

I thought we could roll these schollies over to next year if we didn't use them, but the reason to use them this year is we can take so many more.
Other than to find a TE or OL, why do we have to use them? Do we actually "Lose" them or do we just miss the opportunity to over-sign?

I think they do roll over if we dont use them so we dont dont necessarily HAVE to use them but i would much rather hold out on a TE that has more eligibility left that would play more snaps for us this season like maybe the TE from UTAH if he decides to transfer.

Not the one im thinking of....i was talking about Dalton Kincaid who could possibly be transferring. Would be Day 1 starter IMO

Near the end somebody asked CBK about needs/portal.
He said (paraphrasing) "We know who we want and we'll get them". Which tells me that the "Double Secret" White Boards full of prospects who might enter the portal by May 1 exists.
One way or another I'm sure they'll use em' instead of lose em if that's the case. If not somebody they wanted then one of the Walk-Ons since CBK mentioned he wanted development on the WO program.

Those ivy league offers are related to a lacrosse.
Jackson Carver was a initially heading to college as a lacrosse stand-out, and he even committed to Notre Dame in that sport. So the ivy league offers you see are related to lacrosse

I trust Polian and the rest nationally but I would not like to see us with less of a presence from Texas to GA/FL for the skill guys.
