I’m not an insider but his brothers on the team, he’s a grad transfer with 1 year. they are desperate for a TE and have a week to fill that gap so unless a better TE comes along between now and may 1 I’d imagine he’s gonna be the guy

He has previously committed there this spring, probably about a month or 2 ago but he’s a grad transfer so until he’s on campus he’s free to recommit elsewhere

Because he’s not in state with only 1 year of eligibility (not a waste scholarship long term) and they are desperate for a TE. If they don’t use the last 2 scholarships by may 1 they are lost unless BK wants to hand out the scholarship to someone already on the team. Problem is, we need all the bodies we can get. I don’t think any walk on at this point is leaving the team on their own. Why not get another body if you can?

Are we so desperate that we give away one of our last two scholarships to someone who possibly can't play in the SEC? ... Can't you sign portal guys all the way to football season?

May 1st is only date to be in transfer portal. You don’t have to sign by may 1st. Most likely you will see a number of guys enter this week. If no one decent enters then maybe you take him. But he isn’t a definite or easy take. I haven’t seen any film on him and I am sure Kelly And polian know better.

That is not correct. They have to be in portal by may 1. They can sign after and be eligible.
