kids pretty good at reading how a play will develop. I have a feeling he will be a star on LSU's defense sooner than later.

In my opinion, there are two guys who never got their due in this class from the services for already being very good players... Jones and Dural. I also think Feist's drop was unfair but at least he got early pub.

Hawkins, Raymond, Holmes, Sandolph, Louis and the likes have big-time upsides, but Dural and Jones are very underrated.

to be fair, Debeaux never got love from LSU until late.

he's been tearing up the catholic league for nearly 3 years. Closing speed is exception, and most of all, he is smart.

I've been loving this pick since we got him. He always looks violent on his film and that 4.4 speed he reportedly runs...shows on film...

He and Kwon remind me a lot of each other. Both very fast and violent hitters.

I love this kid and can't understand what took LSU so long to pull the trigger on him. He easily has some of the best instincts at the LB position that we have recruited in a while. If this kid can put on some Lbs without losing much speed, Chavis is going to make this kid special.

He skipped LSU's camp was the reason we didn't get him early. LSU didn't get to see him in person but after evaluating his senior year...he was too good to pass up. He was partly why we didn't offer Otha and you can see why on film. Athleticism and speed is through the roof. Imagine what he'll be like under our weight program and Chavis polishing him as a LB.

Interview

He's really excited to be a tiger; he couldn't quit smiling. He speaks extremely well. He seems like a really good, smart kid.

I'm pretty sure he plays football in the biggest city in LA. And, I know what you're saying deuce and realize that this staff loves the camp evals, but this kid is too close to our own backyard. No way he should have been offered this late.

Don't disagree but LSU puts a lot of stock into their camp evaluations. Guys like Cooper primarily do their recruiting from it. Maybe they felt earlier Debo wasn't all that interested since he skipped our camp.
