Began the year as a starter and got benched.
If you're not bringing in a guaranteed starter, what's the point? Pour into Curnes/Soloman and get them developed.

Who says he’ll be a backup? He’ll have to fight for his spot no matter where he goes unless he wants to go to an FCS school like McNeese or something.

I doubt we take him. We have two 4-star transfer interior o-linemen coming in this class. If we take another lineman it will be a tackle.

This is not a guy we need.
Lost job mid-year, PFF grade of 63.2 (very average) for the season. Only played interior guard spots.
We need a tackle and thats what the coaches were looking for in the portal.

Watts is going to the NFL. A lot of the production on both sides of the ball will be gone for ND. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them take a giant step back next season. One of their insiders said everything in Freeman’s tenure was sort of building towards this past year for them.

ND is loaded at OL. Starters don’t transfer. They clearly are looking to land where they will get more guaranteed playing time.
Not sure if LSU should take them since they were not starters for ND until ND had injuries. I would look at Coogan as he is a C with good experience. Need more depth there in addition to Mitchell. But he was 2nd string at ND so he is probably looking for a guaranteed starting position.

Again just so shocking to see the mass exodus from Pimp Freeman’s program.
He’s really done a great job rebuilding that program. They were really in the gutter when he took over. Hats off to Big Marc
