What a class so far, next year is going to be fun with some talent influx in here...still very much looking forward to an improved team this season.

Just fell down to #4, but still very good. Duke got the #1 player to move up to #1 overall, which bumped UNC, KU and us down. Duke has the #1, #4 and #6 overall players now. Duke's recruiting the last few years has been NUTS even for them. Coach K might just take over CBB.

I said it in the b-ball thread but I’m interested to see where this class goes. It’s alread elite enough that wade can be really picky and wait until some coaches are fired and signees are released, or he can save it for a transfer. Either way there is some talent headed to Baton Rouge in 2018

Next year do you think we see Waters at the one and Smart at the 2 positions most of the time? I just can't see not having both of those guys on the court at the same time as much as possible.

Honestly I have no idea, and if I say I do, then I would be lying to you. HOWEVER, I do believe this would be the best case scenario if that is what Wade decides. I agree with you that we need the best players on the court no matter what, and I think having Waters at 1 and Smart at 2 would be a good idea.

Sometimes classes like this in college basketball are almost too good. They get a few "one and done" kids, while future recruits shy away from what they perceive to be impossible competition.
I guess one can hope that we'll keep our kids a little longer than Duke will keep theirs! lol

Next year, assuming Sampson returns, we are gonna have the same starters 1-3. Sampson will be a senior and by then should be a little more like what wade wants him to be, Mays has been singled out several times as one of our best players and Waters looks like a future, all sec player. Smart will still play 25 minutes a game but it’s a stretch to say he starts over our other experienced wings and that’s a good thing. It shows that we are finally getting quality depth

I'm saying it seems like we need to have both Smart and Waters on the court at the same time.
Sorry for the double negative. It appears it caused some confusion. I should have been clearer with my sentence structure. Using double negatives face to face is okay I guess because you have body language to reinforce the point however on a message board it's probably not a good idea.

Kentucky will still end up with the # 1 class.. Already have Quickly, and Johnson signed.. Zion Williamson will commit to them, along with Herro today.. Bol Bol will also likely go there..
