Quite obvious you don't know anything about Harlem's upbringing and how he ended up at St. Martin's.

You're right!

And I really don't care.

You confirmed what I said - he had options. He chose to go to St. Martins.

What's the point of this long af post?

Right ? That’s why I’m saying okay let’s look at Stamps, who played at Rummel, vs stingley who played at the Dunham school because that’s the argument being made here

OK. If we're going to do this let's compare Apples to Apples here (1A RB to 5A RB)...

Let's just say Fournette was in Berry's class and you can only choose 1.

Fournette or Berry? Why? As a fan, what are you analyzing?

(Certainly not comparing Fournette to Sheppard. That's just stupid AF. This is just hypothetical)

I’d pick fournette, but not because he played 5A ball. His physical attributes are everything you wanted in a RB.

Not really an apples to apples comparison at all

Before entering high school, Harlem's parents attended several open houses and visited both John Curtis and St. Aug (his dad graduated from St. Aug. so Harlem is a legacy). When the Berry's inquired about Harlem's desire to play HS football, academics, and tuition assistance, both schools turned him down citing Harlem had only played 1 year of organized tackle football (8th grade). As a kid, Harlem grew up playing soccer.

Yeah there’s rule violations in this paragraph… both on the Berrys’ part and on John Curtis and St Aug

If athletic ability isn’t supposed to be a reason a kid gets financial aid, can it be a reason a kid DOESN’T get financial aid?

What are we talking about here?

I’m not picking Fournette because he played 5A ball. I’m picking him because he was a damn freight train.

100% he does have all the physical attributes. I'd pick Fournette too.

But the fact he played at St. Aug gives me much more reason to pick him. The coaching is better, the daily competition at practice is better, and the game day competition week after week is also better.

Look! I admit it. Since I played in the laughable district Berry is playing in it's easy for me to downplay it. This, admittedly, is where I am getting caught up. But I cant help it.

dude wasn’t 225 in high school because he went to st aug.

Also we’re comparing apples to apples.

You’re saying you like Sheppard because he plays 5A

If he was running over a bunch of kids in 10-1A, I'd definitely wonder if he can do it against SEC LBs.

I GUARANTEE you him going to St. Aug had something to do with it. Had Fournette gone to Crescent City, Ecole, or even St. Martins before Frank Gendusa he would not have had a conditioning program. St. Aug gets those kids ready. They pump out D1 players year after year. They have to!

I'm saying I like Sheppard because he's putting uo video game numbers against better competition, and that's a fact.

And yet, EVERY single industry expert says Berry is better that Sheppard at this time.

100% he’s better. That’s not my argument. Just saying Sheppard deserves an offer. That’s it.

or they go to St Aug because they’re good football players.

Fournette is a genetic freak.

Facts!

Maybe. But they also develop their players for the next level. Tyrann Mathieu and Leonard Fournette cite their time at St Aug as pivotal points in their journey to LSU.

Northshore is fricking awful. Why can’t you just admit you’re tied to this kid in some way? Otherwise it’s fricking creepy at this point
