quote:The only way this makes the slightest sense is if their initial offer was $1Mil. $1Mil is such a lowball number for him though.
reportedly Sorsby had a 0 added to his number from TT
How do you go from thinking he’s worth $1Mil to $10Mil.

Not allowed to visit campuses until Monday, so that Sorsby information is inaccurate.

Right when the portal opens, you can visit. A simple google search told me that.

Seems like that’s already trending towards Texas

Goodness, no offense lineman information from Nakos/Wilfong. There is three starters on the way....

Care to explain why?
The amount of money they have available is pretty insane and have no worries about not being able to outspend anyone.

This is incorrect information and utter bull crap: The only face to face contact coaches can have from the opening of the portal (today) through the 5th is on campus, which is allowed for mid year transferring players.
Directly from the NCAA recruiting calendar
December 22, 2025 – January 4, 2026: Dead period
Except: January 1–5, 2025: Quiet period for two- and four-year college transfer prospective student-athletes who intend to enroll midyear.
Quiet Period Defined:
The NCAA defines the quiet period as a time when “a college coach may not have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents off the college campus and may not watch student-athletes compete or visit their high school.” To break it down, the NCAA Quiet Period is a time you can talk to college coaches in-person on their college campus. However, the coach is not allowed to watch athletes compete in-person, visit their school, talk to them at their home—or talk to them anywhere outside of the college campus.

Basic math is not your strong suit I see. it was reported they doubled up his offer over LSU and added a 0. If LSU offered 5 million they offered 10 million. Not hard to understand. Jesus.

Lol, what?

What is hard to understand? It was reported LSU was going back and forth on Sorsby so they just upped the offer with an extra 0 on the end. I don't know if it's true but they were reporting they dumped 10 million on him which would make sense why LSU went to Leavitt. That's crazy money for a college QB. They have 4 million on the table for Chambliss supposedly but that doesn't look like it's happening.

With all due respect, I don't think you understand what "extra 0" on the end means.

That's not what I meant c'mon. I said it right above him the reported number was 5 million and TT got tired of LSU going over the the top on them so they gave him 10 million. nobody knows for sure if LSU offered more. that's why they moved to Leavitt. TT has a lot of money. I don't blame them. I like Sorsby but that's crazy numbers.

I think Sorsby is just using LSU as leverage to up his number from Texas Tech. Hard to imagine he doesn't transfer back with his girlfriend to his home state.

So, a college quarterback will be making a massive amount more than a top NFL draft pick/rookie QB. If this is the case, then for sure these guys must be treated differently than a student-athlete (extinct now). No more guarantees, you must produce to get paid.
