If there’s one thing Kirby knows it’s how to pull top classes. It’s the coaching aspect that keeps him from being elite.

If he builds a good coaching staff then he will build a perennial contender. However, his gameday coaching is on him and won't improve (IMO).

Kirby's past 3 classes: #1, #2, #1

1 SEC title and you're still kicking Bama & Clemson's arse in recruiting? GTFO

No kidding. UGA has regressed since the NC game appearance, and they keep pulling in top classes.

They're squarely in the middle of fertile recruiting ground. They spend as much or more money in recruiting than any other school in the SEC. Athens is a really cool college town. Despite all these things, Kirby, Mark Richt, and Jim Donnan have failed to win a title there. Until the east improves, Kirby has to just beat Florida every year for a shot at the playoffs.

I think this honestly helps LSU. If I'm Burch, why the hell should I feel any pressure to play for an annual 6 win team when the head coach's son of that program gets to go to an elite program with zero scrutiny?

We need to throw out as much $ and raise our formal recruiting budget to the level of Georgia's. Isn't just their formal recruiting budget about twice as much as everyone else's?

Coach’s son picks rival team. Nothing to see here

LSU has Ole Miss’a baseball coaches son in the team.

And he wasn’t a walk on. Some dads don’t want to coach their sons and vice verse.

And like Bianco and LSU, UGA is Muschamps’ Alma Mater

What's interesting in this piece of news is that he did an official visit and then becomes preferred walk-in. This is the exact opposite of what was being told that if someone is recruited, they can't be a walk-in

Bianco’s son is good enough to play in the SEC; Muschamp’s son is not.

Kind of like how Burton's mom all of a sudden got a new job in Georgia and decided to move all the way across the country and her son happened to flip as well.

Ok. So he could have still played at Ole Miss.

Agreed but my point is that while both probably don’t want to play for their Dad, which is not unusual, Bianca signing with LSU doesn’t seem as fishy b/c he has the talent to play SEC level ball while Muschamp doesn’t belong in the SEC, maybe Vandy or TXa&m, but not UGA. This is coupled with the fact that he originally committed to play for Colorado St, and now all of sudden he’s okay with probably never seeing the field at UGA.

You think any perceived lack of success at LSU in recruiting is due to our recruiting budget?

We have and spend plenty of money. This is a made up issue.

He has money, the scholarship really means nothing.
