From the article:
"Robinson enrolled at Western Kentucky, received financial aid in the form of an athletic scholarship and participated in team practices that count toward the 2017-18. Therefore, should Robinson transfer to another Division I program, he would have to sit out this season by rule."

Hopefully NCAA grants him a waiver

Yes. All the full release means is he has no restrictions as to where he can go, but he will still have to sit out pending him getting a waiver

Maybe Stansbury mans up and releases him from his LOI?

I think the full release is all he can do. Like the article states, signing the financial aid and participating in the practices started his athletic clock already. I'm not an expert on that stuff but I'm fairly certain that article has it right

Could go pro international

I think he meant all Stans can do

Do I understand the situation correctly that Stansburry unethically hired Mitchell's uncle, then fired him before the season even started?
Anyway, if Robinson is granted a full release then you have to love LSU's chances here. I would think he still has some family in Chalmette, and does Kentucky even want to save a spot for him with their plan's for an absurdly talented 2018 class?

NCAA has done some unexpected things sometimes, but never have done LSU any favors. Maybe this is their turn. Maybe make up for those draconian sanctions in the Lester Earl saga, especially after he recanted.

Looks like Mac's thread just got whacked, unfortunate, it was a great article.

Yeah, unfortunately promoting your own articles is a no-no on here

Why would he need a loan? He got his release, and unless the NCAA grants him a waiver, he'll be just like any other transfer. On scholarship but has to sit a year.
