This is the reason the transfer portal is absolute dog shite. At the very least you should have to have 3 years with one schools before you can transfer without sitting out 1 year or something or the school has to grant you a transfer. It be different if most kids improved themselves by transferring but the statistics show it damages the kids more than helps them a majority of the time.

This is such a bad look. You are freshmen who will be starting in the bowl game. Why in the world would you transfer? Soft
Maybe he saw the writing on the wall? All speculative but he was the consensus #50 corner in the country this last cycle. Maybe he realized his path to snaps at LSU was unlikely and a guy like that has to get in the Portal early.
If he were to wait he could be left without a landing spot.

Portal is just creating a class of quitters. If I'm not guaranteed to start, I quit. I should not have to compete for playing time. There are around 1.1 million football players that compete in high schools. Only 6.5% get a chance to play in NCAA Division 1, 2, and 3. Of those who are lucky enough to make it to college football, only 1.6% make it to the NFL. In 2021 1,427 FBS players entered the portal and 42% did not find a new team. So for all of those outside the 1.6% that make it to the NFL and the 42% that don't find a new team, the real world is waiting and you will have competition everywhere you go no matter what the job or profession. Get used to it.

By next season summer/fall camp, We’re gonna look up and all of the sudden realize we’re just fine at db and that it’s actually a strength.
Remember how fast it happened last year and we’re already getting better freshman at corner coming in.
Still have sage at nickel and sevyn banks along with Welch . We will grab one or two out the portal and then our freshman class will be even better than it is now by the end of the last signing day.
Banks injury wasn’t as bad as it appeared. He’s just had two that makes it seem he’s done but they’re unrelated and don’t affect each other. Burns came back from the exact same injury.
We’re good at saftey I think . It’s usually an easier transition for freshman than corner is . Burns will be one
