Some of the guys are gonna be like Myles Brennan…they’re gonna hop in and then hop back out

I would think putting in the work against the best and busting my butt around year 3 I would be playing alot at minimum.

Simply putting in "hard work" does equal playing time. Some guys have ceilings and there are guys in front of them who have higher ceilings. If it has taken you until year 3 to see "alot" of playing time and you weren't behind an absolute stud your spot could be taken at any moment.

Is he knows DH & DR is coming for sure then I’m good with him leaving, Lol
I trust steeples a lot more after this season’s progress in the secondary, so maybe he knows what’s coming and wants to roll
Out, good luck!!

If he has one more game before a redshirt, he should play the bowl game and try to show out! Get the bowl practices under your belt and improve and then transfer. Whatever kid

Thats why I dont get excited by these lower rated guys we've been signing. Most of them need 2 or 3 years to develop, they instantly get passed up by higher ranked guys during the next cycle, and then they get lost on the depth chart... Two years later they transfer out. We typically dont miss on a highly rated prospect at a certain position two cycles in a row so its always going to be an uphill battle for them.

Some lower rated kids do exceed expectations (Example: Cordale Flott)... but most of them dont.

2, right? We still have Welch and Banks.

Has Banks said he was for sure coming back? Coming off that neck injury?

Processed. He saw writing on the wall. Can't keep up with a roster of Ricks, Toviano, Welch, Richardson, Brooks, and Harris.

Nope

He probably got word Harris is coming in. He's not surpassing those guys on the roster. He was already low on the totem poll and it's likely they'll get a vet from transfer portal.

Per Shea the timing doesn't add up at all. For his name to show up in the Portal today it would have had to be entered probably on Tuesday, and that's not including notifying LSU, all the paperwork, etc etc.

It's just a coincidence.

This is such a bad look. You are freshmen who will be starting in the bowl game. Why in the world would you transfer? Soft

I’m like 99% sure he was a grad transfer. Which means he is done. Which means with Davis-Robinson apparently running from any perceived competition we have one healthy pure corner on the roster in Welch, with Banks making 2 if he heals up/stays playing.

If your ceiling isn't that high, and it takes you 3 years to crack the lineup, you won't be going to the league.

So why leave? Especially if you are at a power 5 that is trending towards the playoffs!
