Dude is very charismatic. he doesnt come and flame and generally treats us all with respect considering he is a Miami fan.
Its not funny at all. People here like him, even had Rueben not signed here people would still like him.

I was just curious.

Okay then. No, I am sitting in a sushi place on their WIFI, and with people opening the damn door and how cold it is out there, being naked wouldn't be comfortable right now!

and I try not to post:

1. drunk
2. naked
3. when I am real busy at work

in that order!!

Either way, he can't come off looking good.
Yeah yanking a kids scholly that he's signed to his class the 2 previous years, sticking with him even though he didn't have the grades 2 years in a row and yaking it because in the 3rd year he still didn't solidify the grades to get in.

Looks turrable

so you don't think the shot fired across the bow by randle/father last night had anything to do with it?

probably. That is, if you're refering to the old "10" scale. Was a strong 10 until I hit 42 a few years back!

not sure if 9.5 stands for something else in this day and age, though.....

i'm sure it had probably more than 50% to do with it, but depending on how you want to spin the story it doesn't have to look as bad as he was making it out to be.

Absolutely, but what is most important is that Randle is a definitely qualified prospect.

look benton's grade situation made it very easy to say good bye last night/this morning. also add in the fact that he had lost 2 important years of development by not playing in a top level program (or playing at all this last year)

i just don't know where all of this "grade" theories came about. didn't benton JUST visit recently?

Benton- 2 years with a scholly- still waiting to qualify- could bolt for NFL after 1st season with LSU (not likely, but possible)

Randle- Ready to go, fully qualified, AT LEAST 3 years at LSU

If they compare talent wise, I take Randle over Benton too. But form all accounts, Randle is better and will be here longer.

Les is stupid like a fox (or however it goes)

thats the thing, he didn't know if we were guarenteed Randle by letting Benton go. We were guarenteed Benton to at least sign a LOI. The gamble paid off but it was def a gamble.

You have no idea if that is accurate or not.

I'd say that, assuming Randle was at the source of this decision (reasonable assumption), that Miles and Randle's family hashed this out ahead of time.

I'd say it's a huge stretch to think Miles just rolled the dice.

And you don't think his visit to AU was a big part of Miles' decision to pull the scholly?

Absolutely not. Hell, he was asked to come on a visit just this past weekend. They didn't ask him to visit so they could pull the scholarship.

I'm pretty sure that Miles had to choose between Randle and Benton, and he made a tough but correct choice all things considered.

How so...if Benton qualified, he could leave next year as he would already be 3 years removed from highschool. He definately wouldn't hang around any longer than he had to. Randle on the other hand, is better and will play for at least 3 years. I would like to have Benton but this is probably best for him too.
